Is this normal?

Growing a feminized strain
I got new growth coming out of the calyx (think that’s what it’s called)
I’m confused never seen anything like this before

Completely. Those are called petioles and what your seeing are new branch’s .

so weird never seen new branches grow from there after a branch has already grown

Think twigs or suckers

yeah, that's actually good, the plant is healthy and vigorous, they'll grow at every point possible if they're fat and happy...
oh, and that's just a node, calyxes are the small individual budlets that make up buds when they stack up together. there may be a calyx growing there, but that's just more healthy growth

Yep, I have had them sprout at the OG site of the cotyledons in late veg on a vigorous plant.

Seems everything is in order here.
