I'm 26 days into flowering. The white pistols are starting to die off....shriveling and turning brownish-orangish....they look sick...is this supposed to happen???

Yes..and if and when you learn pollination thats how you tell the pollination took.. the hairs/pistils turn brown and die.... alls good man..... Luck.

when finishingg they do turn orange and what not... premature shriveling of the hairs could be an attribute to heat stress..as the plants try to finish real quick in the heat.

I am also a month into flowering and I have some pistils that have turned orange. I thought pistils didn't turn color only a month into flowering. Am I wrong? Is this normal?

I am suspecting that I may not have caught a hermie early enough and one of the bananas may have opened and pollinated some of the pistils. Thoughts?
