Is this pest damage?

Just noticed this on one of the leaves and was wondering if it was from pests? I always keep a good eye on them and never noticed anything on the undersides of the leaves when I check them regularly

I was meant to add silicon to the feed at the start of veg but never got around to getting any, is it any good for deterring pests?

thanks everyone

Sure looks like somethings been chewing on that. Check the undersides of that leave and some around it. Kinda looks like it could be a leaf miner or something similar.

I’ll have another proper look later, but as far as I know there is nothing on them or anything flying about or anything.

I’ve scraped underneath the coco too on the first inch or so and there’s nothing at all.

the same thing happened to me after transplanting or otherwise after stress but I can't tell if it is directly related. I talked to many without coming to a certain conclusion and nothing ever happened, the new growth was healthy and the "problem" never recurred throughout the cycle.
Have you checked thoroughly that there is nothing above and below? If there is nothing I would not worry too much but it would be interesting to find a definite answer

Hey man, thanks for these! It’s put my mind at ease a bit, thinking I had an infestation of some kind.

New growth looks really healthy and they generally look happy so I’ll just go with this what you have said.

I need to feed them in a few hours so I will go over them again and get back to you.

thanks again

You're welcome brother, when it happened to me I was freaking out and after various paranoia and hours wasted searching, nothing ever happened.
In many threads they blamed fimming or uncleaned topping that stressed the plant and caused these scars but again, I never got to the certain cause and I don't know if it actually correlated.
I'm glad you've at least calmed down but I'd feel bad if it were to be some other problem so always give it a close look and as they suggested above you can even cut the leaf in question and examine it closely and get rid of any doubt. I bought just for the occasion one of those 40x-1000x USB microscopes and they work great and you can calmly examine on your pc your images.

Is that leaf getting blown on by a fan? Looks like wind damage to me, or scratches from another leaf brushing against it
