Honestly, the ph/moisture tester you posted is great for testing your soil and what not, but you need to ph your solutions before you feed as well which is more important IMO. Instead I would recommend buying a digi ph/ec meter. You then can ph the run off to get the acidity of your soil.

I just got one of them on eBay for $6 including delivery charges! good for soil but you need to ph your water before giving it to your plants.

this guy is right- it is more important to know the ph before you add it to the soil it will be to late after -
and yes just get the digi kind you will thank yourself later

Thanks for the info guys.

Yea i actually found a new one in my with my aqaurium garage from my tomatoes lol.

I dont even know if the thing works it says my PH is at 6.5. I dont think it is. I checked the run off PH checker that you put little drops into the water and it comes out at about 6.3.

Im kinda new to the PH deal in soil because ive never ran into issues but i clearly have something going on with my plants right now.

The Peat must be lowering it.

What would be my best best to raise the PH hydrated lime??
