Its just early messed up stuff that you wouldnt determine sex from. Wait it out two weeks then you will be able to sex your plant like a pro instead of a wild guess....

I'd guess female based on that last picture with the red arrow but there's no pistol yet, so you can't really decide until then or you see "nuggets."

Not enough to tell 100% but it's looking like a male to me. You're just trying to determine sex. Pre-flowers by the way are a completely different thing, when you veg long enough the plants will begin to slowly transition towards flowering (outdoor usually does this as they're typically vegging much longer than indoor plants) and even start flowering if you veg them long enough, varies by strain.

Staggered nodes/limbs I thought was a sign of plant maturity. Not a determination of sex. Have I missed something?

Idk I might have it mixed up. I thought it was right, but it was only a guess. It was a 50/50 call lol.

Seriously I think I read it in a book but it was in a chapter with other stuff
Btw best avatar ever

Try covering up a node like with tape something so it goes into the "dark", within a few days remove the tape and you should see sex either way. Plant will have to be mature enough like 5-6 weeks from seed. I've noticed this a couple of times taping up a cracked super-cropped branch.

That's awesome
