Is this root rot in soil??

These plants have been in 1 gallon containers for about 4 weeks, and they've been in the side of my closet while my autoflowers sit under the light. Well, I thought they were getting burned by hot spots because they were sitting real close to my reflective surface and I could see the light spots. Now I'm wondering if they don't have root rot instead. I transplanted them into 5 gallon containers today and the root mass looked a little brown. It didn't smell bad though. I sure hope it's not root rot because I just wasted a lot of soil transplanting all 4 of them into 5 gallon containers if it is!

this is NOT root rot . plants are very unhealthy . actually dyeing . you need to get a nutrient asap like today ! start a coarse of nutrients !

I just transplanted them into 5 gallons of Ocean Forest, so they should have some nutrients now!

It wouldn't hurt to give them a little cal-mag, other than that the soil should do the job for ya. Roots look fine for a soil grow

The small ones look terribly underfed and the larger ones are all underfed and over-watered

They look super overwatered for sure

You'd have smelled a really rotten smell if it was root-rot, they'll recover in due course. Your new soil will feed them quite quickly.. Kp us updated to how you get on.. Good luck

Look way overwatered to me. The roots are drowned and choked for oxygen. But there are plenty of healthy roots and leaves still so I suggest letting it dry out until the pot is alarmingly light. More days than you think. It will take longer because when you watered in during the transplants you drowned them more.

I think if you leave them alone a week or two they will recover pretty well.

Then only water when the pot is extremely light and dry like 3/4 down. They will grow new roots when they are dry enough and then the leaves will recover the best they can.
