Is this setup too much?

Titan flow and grow. 19 pots . 55gal res. My clones have been rooting for 4 weeks! The roots are BEAUTIFUL and they're about 7inches tall(the stock itself) . I plan on vegging them.for two weeks and then flipping to 12/12 . Reason behind this would be to have short stocky plants along with the strain and propper cropping i intend on scrog with these.....two 1000watt lights with digital ballast i can control from 400w 600w 1000w and turbo? I dont ever even use the turbo on my soil plants it seems pointless....advice please and thank you

nevermind i went ahead and lowered the count to fifteen buckets. its much more neat and i think provides more space

I personally wouldnt veg any more. That many plants in a confined space with 2 more weeks veg will be unmanagable. Go back to 21 plants, trim the shit off the bottom of your babies and get em in 12/12. I also wouldnt use those smaller clones, they will get swallowed up, light deprived and produce nothing.

Were all the clones started at the same time? As I found out the hard way some plants do stretch more than others and that can pose a big problem. My typical grow stretched about 150% so at a foot they would stretch to about two and a half feet. The white russian I just grew out stretched from 18" to around 6' and totally grew past the light, scrog would have been hard as they would not have stayed under screen. I basically broke stalks and tied them to allow for light penetration (not a recommendation). Also with the different hieghts of clones you may have an issue with light penetration to the smaller clones after a few weeks. Are you topping plants to help lateral growth? Nice looking plants BTW. What strain?

Thanks for the replys everyone. and no the clones were cut 3 weeks apart. the 16 small ones have rooted but not like the bigger ones!!! its neat to watch the roots grow everyday! The strains are FireOG, Chemdawg4, and San Fernando ValleyOG(SFV) the fire and chem grow pretty tall if allowed to but what i was thinking is like you said. trim the lower or cut the lower branches off and let the rest rest ill guide and let grow through the screen?!?! Thanks for the veg tip as well! i wasnt to sure on if i should veg or not given the space!!! here are some picture of the same strands in 7gal smartpots usuing all roots organic, The pictures are of my current 2nd grow and it looks SOOOOOO much better compared to my first! will be ready roughly the end of december! theyre about 4ft tall! maybe a little over i should measure again. the 7gal smartpots have made a BIG difference!

instead of a scrog im assuming? i very well could and am not opposed to experimenting with your methods on some of my plants but wouldnt be the same concept is you were to put a trellis over tope the plants and weave the branches in and out the holes? and removing the lover plant matter.....i do like the concept that your bending and letting the lower colas grow more, here is a little beancage experiment i did and its really neat, i think its kind of what you have done. i have bent all the branches and now they are growing up.

You have the right equipment and set up, do a SOG. Cram them in, keep em small and just aim for large single cola from many plants. Easier and quicker to trim also. Less labour, less hassle and alot easier to manage. Scrog using them buckets will be a right ball ache, once tied into a scrog net ya fucked with regards access to your pots. Ya can't move em, clean em blah blah. Do a SOG, get it right and you will be converted. No wasted vegging time, wasted elec, quicker turn and the list goes on.

right on MrMeanGreen! this my first SOG so im stoked. i will keep with the fifteen pots ive alread lined and connected the tube so this what i got to work with cause im not taking it apart and re cutting and fitting tubed lol besides this will keep me in my safe zone for plant limit! im allowed 36. ive got 10 in soil,15 that are about to go into hydropots and then 10 more clones that are going into Supersoil when the soils finished here soon.

in order to SOG correcttly should i move the buckets closer? and you guys arent kidding when you say you take everthing off except the top cola if need be i WILL
!!!!! i will take a picture in the next couple days to show you all and make sure im trimmin these suckers right! im pretty sure i got it though but for now im going to fill the buckets with hydrocorn, and im going to soak and rinse them with a H202 tap water solution. then i will fill the res up with RO water and get crackin on that whole deal!!!!

so your saying a scrog using these buckets is a bit of a hassle....im still going to make it happen but i just wanted to clarify, if so why?

Just so we are reading of the same hymn sheet..... A SCROG is generally a few plants vegged and trained with a scrog net to spread the growth horizontally with the end goal of all the tops covering a large area and roughly being the same height. A SOG is many plants with little to no veg, Keep em small and and aim for 1 major bud.

So if you SCROG 15 plants which by the way is overkill with the number of plants, all your branches become intertwined with the scrogg net meaning you can not move that pot until you cut her down. You can't get into the pot for maintainance or cleaning.

When you do a SOG, you cram as many as ya can into the light footprint, you have minimal veg growth (fan leaves etc) so you can squeeze more in. I actually put 2 in each pot, I have a total of 58 plants under 2 x 600w.

I use F&D tables, not individual pots.

There ya go, clear as mud.

I titan flo n gro in a 4x8 tent?! oh man, that's rough. gonna be cramped. I have a 12 bucket system with controller myself and it gets cramped. Lemme know how u like the titan, was thinking of upgrading to it. would like to hear what you think about it!

thanks for clarifying that! so then to update you guys i am doing a SOG originally a SCROG but too many plants! i will scrog when my soil is finsihed and i am going to do four plants in 10 gal smart pots! should be fun. here are some pictures of everything, just finished setting everything up, she is flooding right now!

i went ahead and put two in a few pots as well! I actually have one pot with 5 -___- call me a fool (i learn by trial and error) but i am going to make an upgraded tomato cage and put it around the bucket with 5, instead of clipping everything off i am going to top and twist and intertwine and see what happens....skywalker(4weeks into flower), very resinous!fire headband(4weeks)!yes here are 5 in this bucket.1000watt magnum 67xxxl (27 plants total)i left some foilage on this one just want to see how they grow differently compared to a SOG method of trimmin the plantthey fell in lovenoice!! -___-

The second they look comfortable in their new home, get them lights flipped. I would also reccomend something like budblood or similar to reduce initial stretch and keep nodel spacing tight. My rule of thumb when trimming the lower shit is...... everything in bottom 3rd goes. Middle third, leave the fan leaves unless obstructing big time, remove anything that is a branch. Any small buds sites close to main stem will likely become part of main bud so leave all that. Your plants will continue to sprout new foliage until stretch is finished and they settle down.

LOL you nutter, good luck with the 5 in 1. You cray though. A few will more than likely be runts and be a bit behind. You cant just chop the runts as their roots will be proper intertwined with the other plants and you dont want dead plant matter in your res. But go for it, ya dont know til you try, they might meld together and make 1 giant mighty bud (c;

EDit........ make sure you have good oscillating fans on them babies 24/7, no veg = not as thick stems so you got to toughen them up quick.

Great info once again! i will check into the bud blood today sounds like a good idea, i understand on what your saying on your rule of them...i am too late ,as i have already cut middle 3rd clean!, not all of them but some. I aimed to leave 3-4 leaves on each one. Roots all look good and healthy, plants look healthy right now (they're sleeping). i will update with photos on my cage and modifications lol! Happy tokin!

Jeezus LOL they look like trees from some mutant planet....lol. Do u guys really trim that much? I have no ideal what is right or wrong but I haven't been trimming at all and just letting it all happen. I do top the plants once which gives me 4 main stems (usually). I really dont mind the popcorn buds as I make oil and hash. I am just about to start a new tray so let me know whats best and Ill try it also. These are about 2 weeks older now and have completly filled in and have started to flower nicely. I will follow along Bong as your plants (flowering) are the same age as my Mataro Blue. I do think I'll wait for next tray to weedwack them though lol. And here's the plants gone wild! These white russian monsters Took over the whole fuckin flower room with me movin the light up everyday about 6 inches. Takin em out this weekend actually and Ill post the bud pics!!! There are 16" buds above the door that you cant see! Hydro is my best friend lol.
