Okay, I was wondering if this was ready to try to clone or what? It is about 9 inches tall, seems to be doing well. Just not sure if it is ready enough?

if you wanted to take a few clones from the bottom branches you could.

Could you give me a little more tips, it is my first time cloning? Are you sure it is not too small to clone yet? How many should I take?

Should I clone and put one of the clones into flowering to check the sex? You know what I mean just to see.

You might want to check some of the cloning walk through articles on this site or even search online. There is one on this site that even shows pics for you to see how and where to cut, if this is your first time. As far as how many you can take, you'll have to look at the pics they show and then look at your plant and see what it has available for ya. Good luck.

you dont need to do that, your hopefully a mom should be showing sex within 2-3 weeks, no matter what your light cycle is.
when a plant reaches maturity in the veg stage it will start alternating nodes and if you look real close you'll see either little white hairs or what looks like balls starting to form. if its a gal you'll have no problem telling it is but if it looks like it might be male do not kill it without putting it into 12/12 to confirm it for sure, sometimes female preflowers will be kind of deformed and/or wont spit out pistils right away.
http://weedfarmer.com/growing_guide/cloning.php thats got alot of info on cloning for ya

she looks young to me but if you wanted to try a few now they will take longer to root and there is a good chance that they will die..

she is a little young but youll be perfectly fine imo, your side branches look tall enough to make a few decent clones from them, I highly doubt they will die just because they might be a little young, follow the guides we gave you carefully and you will succeed. Thats my opinion, i mean no offense/disrespect to anyone else or their own opinions.

Would there be a recovery period for the Mother plant involved? She is in a 3 gallon bucket now with fox farm seed soil, so I am planning on the 17 to move her to a tent with the same T5 lights she is in now but putting her in a 5 gallon bucket with fox farm ocean soil. I figure I will just move the plant and all of the seed soil with her and surround her with the other 2 gallons of the FF ocean. I think she will love the bigger bucket and have 2 gallons of better soil.

also as for your transplant if your jentle with her the shock wont be so bad.. but you might have a few days with no growth..

a slight one maybe, your hopefully female plant looks nice and healthy and should shake it off quite quickly and then start growing faster than ever trying to make up for the couple of branches you clipped. are you planning on flowering with the t5?

Your shit is looking good, I'm using soil because it is my first grow and want to make sure I don't make any crop killing mistakes. How old do should the mom be before you take the first transplant? Also, how old should she be before I attempt a major transplant like the one I was telling you about?

No I plan on flowering with a HPS 600, what do you think?

well i started taking my first clones right about where yours are now, but only because i was training them to grow a certain way.. and i was still fairly new @ cloning myself..
