is their a minimum height requirement?

or length? i'm going to cut small 2" pieces off and clone them?

also, how many cuttings can I take without completely KILLING my mother? is topping 1/2 the plant too much? 1/3? plus cuttings?

cut it back if shes healthy..then let her regain for atleast a week or so before cutting again. I usually wait 2 months to clone from a plant that has grown from seed. If your cloning from a clone you can literally clone whenevr the growth is past 3 in or so. The bigger the cutting the better. I choose to clone from clones but i originally started from seed.

it's a clone or a mother now, i guess. so it's been cut from a 4 month plant.

cool. so you think it's okay to top it (cut 1/3 of the plant) plus take a few cuttings like 1-2?

ya sounds like you'll be just fine. Remember to let her recoop from all that shock. What i do is lollipop all the bottom sets off of my clones that have been vegging for a week and use those as new clones and dispose of the rest , followed by throwing them into flowering after they recoop. I have literally cloned off of a clone more than 3 dozen times now and counting. At some point or another i hacked up my plants pretty good and they still regained and fed more clones.

if you have a pic i can look at before you cut them back that would help alot . But again i hack off nearly 40% of my plants before they go into flower because of my space, light, etc etc. i just never recommend cutting the main stem unless she is really tall and is a must.
