Ok so my cuttings (northern lights and blue cheese) are in the tent under a 600whps cool tube but my temps are 95!? are they going to be ok? i have a digital ballast but need a cable for it which im gettin tomorrrow hoping this may bring the temps down. its a hot summer here at the moment in the uk so imagine many people will be facing the same problem. there on 18/6. what do you guys think?

cfl's work ok too! you should run with either the T5's or the cfl's, until you can get these temp figured out...

ive got 2x55w fluroesent light. The long ones that fit on top of the propagator but these are quite big for that now. I have put them in smaller pots and under the 600 now as im vegging through it aswell as flowering. I got no more money left to buy anything else. Im hoping the digital ballast may work and im going to put an extra fan in there today. Im ducting into the same room but im going to extend it further towards the window to see if that helps too. anything else i can try?

Go buy one of those booster fans,(6" fans are about $20 at Lowes) and have it drawing in fresh air from outside. If you run your lights at night, that fan should cool things down quite a bit, probably in the mid/lower 80's, which'd be much better. Not a good idea to blow any air outside though, unless you have a carbon filter setup, because the neighbors might complain about that funny smell coming from your house.lol

I'm assuming you don't have the cash to upgrade to air-cooled hoods? Of course, that'd be the best thing to do, but pricey. I finally got some earlier this year, and the temp drop was at least 10*, more, I think. Well worth saving for, as you get experience in the meantime.

Your light will stay cooler if you draw in fresh air to cool that, so that's another option, as well. Do you have the carbon filter hooked to the end of your cooltube? That'll make things hotter, because the fan is pulling hot air from the room, through the light. The filter also slows airflow, so that'll contribute to the heat, as well. I never experimented with that, myself, I'm just repeating what one of our local heavyweights was saying, awhile back. Seems like either way would be close to the same, filter or not, because they both have their weaknesses. IDK. All I can say, is....ventilate!lol
