Hello to all, just after some advice.

Based in UK. My brother and I want to rent a 3 bedroom house and go halves on tne bills etc.

We are also heavy tokers and make edibles etc.

From experience does anyone know
If the electric company will be an issue for us if we decide to have our own DR240w each with 3x 600w hps in each and all extra fans etc... in coco 9 plants per tent.

Is this consumption too much? We've estimated it could cost between £12-£15 per day on the electric with everything else that can be expected in a home.

We are not planning on stealing any thing or breaking any other law. We both work full time and just want to keep our heads down and get stoned as a rock.

Any advice on the precautions I may need to take in this endeavour would be appreciated so much.

Stay away from smart meters and pay your bill and you should be fine. When you talk with the leccy company tell them you have a family with young un's and the washing machine is on twice a day, that should cover your back. GL
 
LED lighting is another energy saver. Don't get cheap blurple garbage, get good ones and they'll be both highly efficient and the best lights to grow under.

Keep in mind that climate control is one of the biggest energy users, so keep a careful eye on everything grow related, not just lighting.

To be honest in my opinion leds are not where I want them technologically for my grow needs and will still to HPS

If I wasn't to call the electric company do you think They will contact me about it or inform authorities??

Pay your bill on time and they won't care.
 
Really? I'm on a pay as you go metre - so as long as it's topped up I don't matter if I run 1x 600w or 8x 600w hps
 
I would be more worried about your heat signature and landlord inspection. Most people I know living in private rent have monthly inspections.

I would of expected once or twice a year but we plan to lock the bedroom door with the tents in and only having one of us brothers deal with the inspector saying the other brother has accidently locked the door and forgot about this inspection and the inspector can look in every nook and cranny except that room and if everything else is fine in the house and rent paid I'm sure trust will build and we can kind of get away with it.

Worst case delay an inspection until a current grow is over and then dismantle everything for the inspection which is a real real ballache
 
A friend has just moved into new private rent and has been told they must have written permission from the letting agent to hang pictures on walls (pathetic) and they will get 3 days notice before inspection no excuses. I'm fortunate to be a homeowner. Don't know if it is standard practice, just be cautious and check before signing leases.

I wouldn't class 6x600w as a personal grow, I would call it a farm. Deffo HMP holiday if you get caught.
 
But it goes by plants not lights right?

We would have 18 plants in total and that's category 3 - surely not a prison sentence?
 
Yeah it goes on plant count, my logic is 6 lamps is a big setup. 18 plants wow man that's not percy and not a risk I would wanna run, r u Krazy lol
 
But are the courts and police clued up on lamps...

I could have 5 plants and 15 lamps but still in category 4 and Percy right?

Don't even know why this herb is illegal. Gods plant he put it here for us.
