Hi guys, I'm a first time grower. I was hoping for some input on these pics. Pic02 is the same as the first, but closer in... are these ares where more trichomes could pop up? Any comments/suggestions welcome.. Thanks in advance!

My Grow Specs:
Grown from seed. Unknown strains, but some have a distinct odor similar to diesel fuel or gas. And some also smell kinda piney and sweet like fruit.
In total, I have 6 females. Got rid of 4 males earlier in the grow..
8 Weeks of veg.
6 Weeks since 12/12 (but 4 Weeks since flowers started showing)

pic01

pic02 (same pic as above, but zoomed in)
notice the arrows pointing at empty spots, seems like more trichomes perhaps...o_O...

You got it, plant looks pritty good, getting close to harvest, maybe 2 or 3 weeks. Have you checked the trichs with a mag glass?

I have a 30x mag glass. I've noticed I can zoom in with my digital camera while using the magnifying glass to get okay shots, but I'd really like to get something that's 60x. In Pics01 & 02 you can notice just a very few amber color, the rest are clear or cloudy...

Thanks for the comments guys! Good lookin' out...

Actually, the ones you are pointing to may be baby trichs, but they could also be capitate sessile glands, which never grow a long stalk like "normal" trichs...

I appreciate the comment. The link you provided was a great read. I love reading in-depth articles from a variety of sources, thus advancing my knowledge of cannabis little by little...of course, I still feel nothing can match the experience than to actually grow the stuff...so even though I feel I've done quite a bit research already, I still have a ton more to learn. Thanks again for sharing that link!

Yes, they are very adorable! Of my six plants, 1 is really Indica dominant (Pic 01, 02, & 03 are the same plant, my Indica). Kinda short, fat leaves, tight spacing between bud-sights, and started flowering at an alarming speed, compared to my other plants.. I switched my lights to 12/12 about 6.5 weeks ago (but flowers started showing 4.5 weeks ago), and yes, I have spotted a few amber trichomes. Since it seems more might pop up, I'm gonna wait about a week and see what she does. Depending on the the situation, I'd like to give her the flush for her last 2 weeks or so.. =]

Thanks for taking take to leave a comment!

LOL, you guessed right, I got about 40 seeds from a friend. And I have no idea what strain these plants are. But some of my plants have a piney/sweet fruity smell. And a couple have a diesel fuel/blueberryish smell to them. I planted 10 seeds at the same time and then vegged about 8 weeks, then switched to 12/12. However, plants didn't show signs of sex til about 2 weeks after the switch. (except the males, all my males showed their sex before the females did). Do you have pics of your plants? Please feel free to post them on this thread, I don't mind..

Thanks for the comment! =]
