is topping always better than stick farming?

I've always had great luck with topping. Just check out my grow in my sig. The only time I go untopped is when I wanna run more plants in a smaller space, then I just leave it up to the main cola to conserve space. Topping really, really can make a bushy plant which can be counter productive when space is limited. I personally have a new plant smack in the middle of my budding chamber thats trying to take over the box, I will prolly have to rearrange b4 I do another update cause its stealing light from my other plants.
Good luck with your grow, stay lit:joint::peace::hump:

I suppose it would depend how the plant was genetically inclined to grow. The sativa grows that my friend has done all tend to grow multiple tops anyway, I think one plant grew like 12, all within about a 4" height range.
One thing I have noticed is that if when you clone, you don't plant the cutting more or less plumb vertical, or don't compact the soil around them and they tilt, all the side branching starts growing up to reach the light, and you end up with a really bushy plant, although it will almost certainly need supporting after the 3rd-4th week of flowering when the buds start weighing.
