Is turning a male plant hermy a good/plausible idea?

I figure that way I could get a little bud instead of none, right?

I don't have a male plant. I was just asking for future refrence. It isn't always practical to just start over, I don't have much growing opportunity.

if you have a male plant then yes it is practical to start over

im not the one trying it but i definitely have heard it happens... i fully understand the value of male plants,, and thus why i am advising to not waste time with it

seed sex is determined just like humans are.

some seeds are fem some are male its just luck really

fems can be turned into a hermy but a male will always be a male

yep boys will be boys. females can be turned hermy by stress and shit... but males can't be turned the other way.
