Is week 6.5 too late to defoliate?

So im late in week 6, and i havent defoliated much to this point. Im only pulling 150 watts from wall, so i thought i could use all the leaves to collect light. However my plants are so bushy, that the mid-level buds are getting very little light. Id have to get rid of alot of foliage to expose the mid and lower buds. Some of them are snow white from lack of light. But i dont wanna jeopardize yeild. Thoughts ?

you generally want all defoliation done by end of week 3 i wouldnt take much of anything off at this point, there's always next time.

It's never too late for some genetics. At this point you could pull fans to allow the lower buds to swell up more and get more light. I personally strip from the top 2 nodes of each main branch down leaves & auxiliary nodes Day 1 of flip to 12/12 then day 20-22 ish I strip all the large fan leaves from the top 2 nodes down. You don't want to remove all the big leaves just ones that are shaded or shading a bud/buds.

Some genetics could hermaphrodite or throw seeds and different weird shit if you prune them mid/late bloom but Trial & Error is the only real way to know for sure & learn.
