Hello RIU.

Right now i have a chance to upgrade my 400W to a 600W.

But since plant is smaller than it could, i dont know if yield will be worth the extra money on the electric bill.

3x3x6 tent, running 1 plant in a 10gal pot in a scrog.

Thanks in advance!

Sorry for the lack of details!

Tent size is 3x3x6,5
One 10gal pot in a scrog setup, 3x3 footprint almost covered and thinking about adding a second net a little bit higher.

This pics is from a few days ago, now its bigger and better distributed, will try to get new pics today when lights are on.

I was also thinking about heat issues...i have a closed and vented hood, with a fan taking the air outside of the room, but not sure if the fan is strong enough for the 600W.

Appreciate the input, but im limited to HPS for a few reasons. Thats why i didnt talk about going with LEDs or anything.
Can you vent outside the room ?

Do you have a carbon filter. I used to direct the heat in to my house from the spare room to use the heat for the house. What are your outside temps roughly ?

In my country, leds are very overpriced. Shipping and taxes take a huge toll on total price, even if you want to do it yourself.

A 260W QB with Samsung chips and Philips driver, costs me 420 USD.
90USD for ballast and 600W HPS.

I can vent outside the room and have a zeolite filter.

So u have the 600? I'd say stick in it see how the temps are then decide. Nothing tried nothing gained.

Toss a 600 watt in that tent and roll with it. If you can control the heat then you're good. But if you have a sealed hood and a decent fan you should be good to go depending on the outside temperature. And don't worry about the LED vs HID nonsense. A 600 watt HID is an upgrade from a 400 watt. There is nothing wrong with HID lighting. You can grow excellent weed with HID's.

Good luck with your grow.
