Thanks for the detailed reply it makes since! I ordered from true north seed bank in Canada I’m in Alaska and was hoping it wouldn’t go to Chicago.
Shortest route from Toronto to Alaska would be through the Chicago ISC.... now if you ordered from a Canadian seed bank in Vancouver it would go down through the SF ISC. And pretty much everything from Europe would hit either the LA, SF, or NY ISC for you. There are exceptions - like if the normal ISC it would flow through has too much incoming mail it could be rerouted through Chicago ISC... but for the most part your orders should never hit the Chicago ISC unless you're doing something like ordering from eastern Canada :)

If it's an official seizure, you will get the package in the mail with green tape on it (letting you know customs opened it) and it will have a nice little letter in it saying your shit was seized - usually within a month of it arriving at the ISC.

And then there is what I believe are the unofficial seizures - where one of the workers snags your shit and you never get a notification (knowing that no one is ever going to complain that their seed shipment got taken lol). I could be wrong about the unofficial seizures - they may have just gotten lazy as shit and not want to send out letters for seed seizures anymore .

I had a package arrive and die in Chicago ISC 2 months ago now...no letter - it just died there. Was insured so they resent - the new shipment hit Chicago ISC and died about a month ago...haven't heard anything from that one either. I've basically written off that order. If it's there for more than 10 days, it's probably dead.

One day @ Chicago ISC - yeah that's a great sign, your package appears to have cleared customs very quickly and should be just fine. Now you should probably remove the pic with the tracking number :)
Lol man I didn’t even know I posted that thank so much for catching that!

Just an update on the GYO order - it has arrived, everything as described. 17 days from ordering. It was, in fact, shipped into CA and then reshipped domestically. So for people in states serviced by Chicago ISC, GYO is a great seed bank to use to avoid that seed graveyard.

I’ll have to check them out I loved Seedsman but they changed how you can pay. Is it GYO.com?

You know one thing I noticed is that GYO offers the seeds you ordered for about $25 less :) And you get a couple of free seeds as well. Did TN send you any free seeds with the order?

I see TN is running a buy a pack get a pack promotion on some breeder packs - That's a pretty good promotion... I think I may make an order just to see if they get it through Chicago ISC for me the same as they did for you LOL

Sweet, that's a lot of free seeds. So TN has a good free seed program, good to know. Never had any canucks seeds, you'll have to update and let us know how they do. Also never grew the Afghan hash plant but from what I've read it's a worthwhile grow.

Right now I got 4 strains going - couple of auto's: Bubba Cheese and Speed Bud Auto and a couple of photoperiod: Skunk special and Pineapple Express #2 ... Bubba Cheese is the only one in this group that I've done previously - and I do some Bubba Cheese in every grow because it's such a easy, reliable, and quick auto. Drop a Bubba Cheese seed and about 50 days later you got 2 ounces/plant off that tiny little plant. And the tough little bitch basically takes care of herself. Outside of the Bubba Cheese, I switch out the other strains every grow (well usually, sometimes I find one I want to grow again immediately).
