So, let's not get mixed up here about the problem set. Let's stick with the old Church of Rome for a minute. Now, we know, that was a war cult, that said the Jews murdered God on Earth. (don't humans seem stupid?)
And it put out Missions of Jesuits and Dominicans etc. And it got pretty ugly at times. No Doubt. And there is no way anyone could call the Old Popish Faith a Plural Religion. Nor could you leave it without being killed. If you were excommunicated, you were as good as hog food, no more.
It was spread by the sword and Jews were taxed for protection, same as Islam. But, like the opposite of this modern Islam situation, not many Protestants, at first, right? The keepers of Real Islam are very pissed off about 9/10s of the flock being Moderate and embracing Secular govt and the Decadent West, etc.
So, not a tiny splinter of new thinking like Protestants were, it is most of Muslims that are appalled by the tiny Center. But, here is the point. The center of Islam is the Wasab Sect in Mecca. They look out at this world and see most of their Billion strong Sunni, have lost touch with what they think is True Islam. Well, guess what? It is True Islam, but, now it is a small but vicious Priesthood. Yet, Sunni Islam is what Mecca says it is.
Of course, the Church was not Plural until much blood was shed, and finally we have some measure of peace, still shaky, in a few places, between Protestants and Catholics.
There was, previously, no such thing as Catholics either, see? It was the Church of Christ's Vicar on Earth the Holy Roman See, anointed as our Humble Pope. (not humble) against tiny bands of thinkers under Luther, or Calvin, Lasky or Knox. Get it? Now Wasab is a tiny band that thinks it can still call the shots. And it has been doing a pretty good job of annoying the entire Planet for the last 1000+ years.
So? Who gets the Brand of Islam? That is what's at stake. Who claims the Legacy of the Religion of Islam, if it slips from the Wasab? Who gets to claim what is Sunni Muslim, if not Mecca? How can Sunni split the Baby and still be Sunni and still be Islam, with Mecca, but Plural and Peaceful? Or what is it without Mecca? That is the conflict, as I see it.
Basically, Obama is openly trying to steal the brand name from the honchos in Mecca.

People wised up and left Europe and that part of the world. That part of the world followed, war after war, we ended up with what we have today, The United States of America.
The people that found what is now Boston, said to that part of the world that followed, no fuck`n way, and they won that war. Then as it grew, those same people saw themselves going back to that part of the worlds ways. and said, you know what, no fucking way. and they won that war too. Then they had to fight that part of the world, twice to survive, they won those wars too.
segue to today, Despite problems within our Government, in the USA killing in the name of religion is not allowed nor can it ever be justified here. Guess what?, that part of the world is up to it again, and wants to spread it here and today The USA is badass enough to again say, no fucking way.
Obama wont be with those that say ....no fucking way. He`d a done it by now. He`s going to let it form in his term and hand it off to someone else so he can live after without guilt. By then, they will have killed many, many more in the name of religion while he watches. Like he just said....hey, they aren`t the only one`s that have done it. The point is they, the Wasab, think their skydaddy is gunning for the USA. It is not that Christians want to fight Islam. It is not that anyone hates all Islam, or hates all Muslims or even lets hate into their lives. Maybe they smoke pot and don't feel hate?
Maybe most Muslims want to just live in Peace. I believe that is a normal emotion.

If you are going to say anything about IS, first you have to qualify your statement with "I'm not talking about the peace loving Muslims, for which there are many, who are doing great things and are surely against IS", followed by pointing out something horrific Christians did over a century ago (without the need to qualify that statement that it wasn't ALL Christians and many were peace loving).
