isnt it great to have friends of the opposite sex that are *just* friends? i havent had a group of guys to hang out with in a long time...and the guys i hang out with are just really chill. they pretty much treat me like one of the guys, and its great! i mean, dont get me wrong, they definitely still treat me like a girl, like they will defend me if someone is a jerk to me, they're really sweet, etc. but were totally all just buddies and it rocks what about everyone else? do you have platonic friends of the opposite sex that you just really like to hang out with? share!

not that i want them to treat me like a man lol. i just like that they treat me like one of the guys. they're not trying to get in my pants, they treat me the same way they treat each other. i get treated like an equal. its nice i can hang out with them and be as comfortable with them as i am with my girls.

i was like that with all of the girls i hung out with.... dont get me wrong, i damn sure WOULDA got in their pants if offered, but it wasnt my goal, and i believe they treated/trusted me different because of that..... woulda been nice to smash a few, i wont lie, but at the same time, it was really alot nicer to be the "different" guy... that wasnt gay, lol

lol lets be honest they treat you like one of the guys but they still wana get in your pants.. its the nice guy play. if you don't belive me pick one of them and be nicer to him and watch they will all go apeshit in a few weeks. the only way a guy can be freind with a girl without trying to get in her panths is if he is really and truley in love with another chick (and still he would have taughts) or if your dating one of his friends and he really respects that guy. or of course if your not attractive.

from my experience there isnt such a thing as just friends for males.
it seems theres always somthing there even if its to just be around a girl or if theres a small attraction that never sparks into anything.

im glad they treat you well but from what ive seen men dont want women "friends"

and now after reading some comments it seems some men agree. im sure their nice but they have their motives.

Yeah there are only two circumstances where I can be "just friends" with a girl
1) I've known her since I was young so shes like a sister to me
2) She isn't attractive to me

Other than that there is no hope of "just friendship"without the hope that it developes further, no ones fault just the way men are wired

I agree with this. It is easy to be friends with ugly chicks (IMO usually the cool ones anyway) but hot friends are a diff story. Ive fucked up a few she-friends relationships with a lil booze and alot of dick lol. I dont really have any female friends anymore because my gfs territorial lol.

i see where your coming from sarah, i have 2 she-friends that i dont think id ever bone. they are not unattractive nor am i gay.

one girl is kinda big, not fat at all, but like 6ft tall and well just big. she acts like one of the dudes drinks lots of beer, mad respectful and shell help someone who really needs it.

the other girl is my best friends sister; i just adopted her as my new sister. she was REALLY hammered at a party a few days ago. the whole deal, being flirty with every dude, being loud and obnoxious, thinking her friend was still there when she had left like 3hrs before, a little vomiting. i was drunk too, but im a seasoned alcoholic, so i took care of her the whole night. first time a girl tried kissing me and i turned it down. honestly shes like a sister to me and since i have no siblings i treat her better than a bro treats his sis, just because im so happy to have a sister

lol im really enjoying these replies guys! and yea...they're definitely NOT attracted to me lol so im sure thats why its so easy for the friendships to work. but i like that they're not attracted to me, because then i can just hang out, be myself, and have a blast with them
