Iso \

yea thats without a vac War, honeycomb from iso without a vac. This took from start to finish roughly 4 hrs..as to the method heat and whipping is involved but each have their place. In my experience whipping and heat will give you more of a budder/wax rather than a honeycomb, esp if you go off of the theory of just whip an heat. the honeycomb has a dryer more stable consistency than the budder/wax which comes from removing alot of the moisture. Im still working out the kinks of the process but I will elaborate more when ready. I would not want to give out false information trying to explain my process. But stay tuned for more awsome oil and info!

I hope you do because I would love to improve my ISO. I want to do a nug run soon but I would like more information from you before I do so. So if you can, tips and steps of what you do is greatly appreciated!

Please do! I have been trying to refine my qwiso skills. Using 91% iso I always do 3 washes one 10-15 sec with slightly swirling motion double strained through metal strainer (to reduce smaller plant material that will add chlorophyl) then a coffee filter. The second wash get slight agitation and the third gets a little more but still only a 20-25 sec rinse. All are done immediately after each other. All done within about a mIn and a half. After the dripping is done I pour into a Pyrex baking dish and purge on a heating pad with a fan.

I did a run yesterday with a 14g of super frosty nugs and a few grams of stems and leaves I manicured from another o I had (the later wasn't added til the second run). Admittedly this was the first large run I've done and could have used more iso but anyway the third run had an accident and my cloth cover used to keep out contaminants slippe in the dish an soaked up some iso (stiff and stinky lol) but not all and I had some decent amber/green ht when scraped came up like crystals and the first run looked similar but with spots of viscous oil. When scraped the oily stuff was just that and the other was like the crystal stuff.
Any help is so appreciated. I will post pics when I can but hopefully the post is as descriptive as it is long

Thanks yall

why only 91%?

ever tried adding tons and tons of salt to your ISO bottle.. the salt binds with the 9% water, and sinks... leaving 99% or so ISO on top... suck it up with a turkey baster, and continue using it as normal... except now its better than 91%

;)

Can't find anything higher in the stores.

I've searched qwiso recipes at great length and never heard of this adding salt idea. I've seen 99% online. Likely go that route next time.

Any thoughts on my run?

Never posted on here but wanted to throw some pics up of some iso oils I have been making. Don't see many people doing it/ the right way. I think its good for people to see some alternate methods to try or think about. All pics are not fully purged but still in the process so please don't go crazy saying " that shit is not done" or anything related. Comments and criticism is encouraged. I have to ask, what exactly are you doing right that most are not?

I'm predicting roor warrns up oil. Then folds it back down to glob. Then repeats. Till wax.

I hope roor can give a better explanation :l

yeah its probably the 91% thats making it look weird or shitty.

even at 99%, that 1% makes me wonder once in a while.

id try dehydrating your 91%... it takes 10 minutes and costs 5$, well worth it. shake the hell out of it, let it settle, and carefully suck up top fluid.. run through a coffee filter or two, and should be good to use.

another thing you could do it build a very very basic condenser with a dish with 2 chambers, eliminates all the salt and gives you dehydrated 99% iso
