It really makes me feel stupid asking this question.

I've been growing outdoors for almost 20 years, so I am very familiar with sexing plants and all, but not sure I have ever seen ( at least not well enough that I could identify accurately) what a preflower is. I'm doing my first indoor grow and I'm thinking my plants are ready for me to start 12/12 after 5 weeks of 20/4. I have read many posts referring to preflowers, but search as I might, I couldn't locate a single picture or description of preflowers...Can anyone help me out?kiss-ass

yup its the pistils comin out for females and balls on a rod like thing for male..

I recently asked the same question....Sorry these pics aren't the best angle, but they're the best i can do. I was told that these are preflowers.....If I'm steering you wrong I'm sure someone will say so.

OK thanks I did know what they looked like, just thought that was just the plants sex. DUH

Sex/Preflowers samething basicly. i have seen way dumber questions. LOL good luck.

Male parts tend to stand up alittle higher while female sit lower in the node(incase it hasnt shown a hair yet), females usually show first so if you find yourself waiting for a hair to pop out its most likely a male. Here a good thread
