"It's a Ghost, B!"

Anyone ever seen a ghost? I got two stories.

1: Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.. "Most haunted Town in America".. 8th grade class trip. We were supposed to go on a ghost hunt/tour of the town but someones parents called complaining of the occult so we had to sit in a cabin and watch a pussy ass MOVIE about the ghosts instead. So the campsite we were staying at was RIGHT next to the battlefield.. literally our tents were 50 yards from the official battlefield markings. So we're in this cabin with this weak ass movie and suddenly a wooden plaque FLIES off the wall and fucking SPINS in the middle of the floor. EVERYONE BOOKED like nobody's business. It was terrifying, honestly.. like 3 kids went home and everything.

2: I'm sitting in my living room at like 2 30 am or something watching some bs on TV, vegging and whatnot..It's pitch black besides the TV. For no particular reason i look to my left and see what looks like a really dim fire fly or a huge spec of dust just rising slowly floating back and forth right next to me. and it looked like what I guess is referred to as an 'orb'. I thought I'd just imagined it and was fraking myself out but i look down and my dog is staring at the exact same thing.. quite obviously following it with its eyes and when it floated towards me a little the dog went nuts and then it was gone... I go to bed at 9 now.

any stories?

I was going upstairs to grab something from when I was outside working on my bike. It was about 4:00 p.m. and was light outside. As I was going up the stairs there was this figure that sort of chased me to about the midway point at the staircase and started circling me. Once it was finished circling me it stopped at the top of the stairs and pointed at me. All of the sudden it was dark outside. All I could do was scream. Then it all went away. True story from when I was 8 years old.

Number 1. That's it? A piece of wood falls to the floor and that's it? You're right next to some 'haunted battlefield' and all you get is a piece of wood falling to the floor? Mass hysteria over this? Not one kid sat there and looked at you like you were a bunch of morons?

Number 2. The dog was looking because this is where you were looking. This is your back-up? the dog was looking at the same spot you'd been staring at so it couldn't have been a figment of your imagination made more real by the presence of flickering light?

This is it? Your evidence of ghosts? Bullshit, and the thing is you MUST know it.

You felt a presence? Yet you know it was your dad? You just felt something... this is not surprising as this is where your dad lived. You could enter any of those rooms in your house and a subconscious memory of him stir these type of feelings... almost as if they are alive again, even for just a fleeting moment.

I think being 13 says it all. i don't mean to cause offence but are you much older now? I ask because 13 year olds are pretty naive and (can) have overactive imaginations... I remember being seven and able to picture things in front of me as though they were real. I found t.v's were the easiest... I just couldn't get past the horse racing channel. Psychological trick, and the easiest time to play these on yourself is when you are too young to realise what you are doing. Likewise belief in ghosts, it's a kids thing... you swap bullshit stories to just to feel that feeling... that feeling that makes you a little frightened yet excited at the same time. This feeling is addictive to some people and there's nothing they love more than reinforcing their stories time and again just to get that feeling back.

Unfortunately, we all have to grow up one day.

Yeah? well I have a well trained dog right now, and if he sees me looking at something he'll look at it too. Why do you think dogs watch the tv? You think they are really interested in the programmes?

Actually, I'm alone right now... the mrs has taken all the kids to see granny. Sorry I can't answer your question.
well that was pretty damn funny........... but a dog looks at the TV because of movements, not because u are looking at it

I can stare at a hole on the wall and my dog will just stare at me!! not the hole.... dogs are stupid as fuck, they dont care about what we are looking at

I've grown up with dogs all my life. always had one as my best friend. My dog is always alert, and if I'm staring at something intently he'll even go over and investigate. If he can't find what I'm staring at he'll start crying till I tell him its ok.

i have a laser pen. i place a dot on the wall... the dog ignores it, but if i stare at it this draws his attention to it too. I only have to stare, because as you said the dog is watching you, my dog watches my every move, he even follows me to the toilet, waits for me to finish then follows me back down again. he's my dog. If you are staring at nothing, just staring this will puzzle the dog (as they really aren't as stupid as you believe)... when a dog is puzzled by something it'll move its head from side to side while staring intently at whatever has puzzled it. If the thing puzzling the dog is something it can't comprehend the dog will start to cry. The dog needs reassuring that everything is fine. Also, a dog can hear your heartbeat so if it raises slightly the dog will suspect something is wrong with you. Try it the next time you have some coke, see how differently your dog acts. Theres also a chance that even if what you were looking at were completely visible to you the dog might not see it as it relies on hearing and smell more than vision, I'm sure you are aware that dogs see in black and white.

well that explains it. ghost don't come in colors. they are black and white. that's why the dog sees them and you don't.:peace:
