Hi guys, i am planing on puting grow tent 80x80x160 inside of my room, i am planing to put 2 carbon filters on each side outside with Y connection in the middle or 2 carbon filters inside tent on the each side.. ONA air refreshner and ducking from window to tent for fresh air on the bottom.. will i have problems with smell? I mean i know when i open the tent some smell will go out but when the tent is closed will i get the smell? Maybe i would try to isolate it more then it is.. any more tips maybe? Will the smell be eliminated when tent is closed veg and flower stages? Because right now i have diy in attic and i have huge temperature problems because of weather and the sun hitting the roof and it gets really hot.. and plants don't like it.. right now i keep it the best i can and its arround 82F.. the summer just started and temps will get really high probably arround 90-95F which is way to high..

I've never had a issue with smell with just a single carbon filter and negative pressure in the tent.
Just make sure your carbon filter is matched to the airflow of your exhaust fan, and you won't have a issue it will only smell when you open the tent

Growing smell is "fresher" than smoking smell, and can be a bit more pungent and can carry further IMO. I can smell outdoor grows from what is probably a block or two away, but I can barely tell when my neighbor's neighbor fires up a session.

However, with decent carbon filtration it does a good job at containing that smell, or at very least dulling it to the point where it's hard to smell exactly where it's coming from if you smell it at all.

There are "low odor" strains you can grow, and I do think stuff like, say, Purple Punch, is "fruity" enough someone might not exactly be able to tell it's weed (kinda). I just grew a tester that had very low odor throughout the grow, but the final smoke is fantastic and I even wow'd some friends with a jar of it this weekend.

If you plan to have any ventilation it must be first passed through a carbon filter, keep it simple. Y pipes and all that probably aren't necessary. Have a normal intake into the tent and make sure a carbon scrubber is sucking the air out I do not recommend fresh air ducts as it invites spores (mold, mildew, pollen etc..) and bugs (thrips, aphids and more) enter your space. Yes even on 2nd story windows.

Just invest in a strong high quality carbon filter like phresh and get a good properly sized fan and you will be fine. I wouldn't exhaust air or intake it out of the room if possible, instead look into "sealed grow space" basically means air conditioned space with no connection to the outdoors other than a door you enter and close.

Another tip as a prior tent grower is do not put a bunch of shit in your tent like humidifiers and etc, treat the room the tent is in vs treating the tent itself, you're just going to rob yourself of space there could be colas.

Also, if you haven't already invested in a tent maybe look into if its realistic to grow in the entire room vs buying a tent to put in a room. I see a lot of growers running 3-4 tents in a room when they could just build the rooms themselves and do a lot better..

Well this setup is basically in attic where nobody lives and its not isoletad proprerly and temps get high and low as weather is outside.. planing to put in my room as my room is small and temps are how i want it. i ordered 60x60x160 for one plant i got carbon filter for exhaust and will put one fan on bottom side, also 1 circular fan for air circulation.. also wanted to invest in puting carbon filter outside the tent so when i open it turn on outside carbon filter for extra safety.. is this alright?
