It is time for us to realize that closing the mental hospitals was a mistake. We house the mentally ill in jails, they need to be in treatment facilities. Additionally, there are some individuals that need to never be released.

A nut once attacked my brother (the reason I have a gun). When I used my car to stop the attack (I didn't hit him with my car I just acted like I would) I was told by the police that I had used a deadly weapon (my vehicle) and could be charged. Thank God, they thought better about that.

It's time people. It's time to take them off of the street where they kill people. It's time.

I know that the libs think that we are infringing on their rights, but what about the rights of those innocents that have been slaughtered?

Yeah, mental hospitals are needed. People like Lanza need to be committed and kept off the streets for everybody's well being. The problem is not guns, it is crazy people.

To be completely honest I have never heard one soul say that mental health should be cut.

I learned a fact while reading about this tragedy that there are almost twice as many mentally ill women than men. If so why are the massacres mostly done by men?

I guarantee if you try to increase federal funding for mental health, the republicans would oppose it as an entitlment expansion!

i'm not at all against good quality mental healthcare for those in society that really need it

i would demand that its paid for by the state tho

In my old home state it was the Governor (R) he raced to close the hospitals and shifted the cost to the counties.
