Its To Dry!!

G'day

I cut down my recent grow just over a week ago. After drying for just under a week - till stem snapped - i jarred. After a few days of opening and checking I noticed a small amount of mold, so I emptied all jars, checked for mold, cut anything off that was moldy or touching mold and rehung for another 24hrs. That night both my humidity and temperature significantly dropped, and as such my bud is WAY to dry. Like so dry that I could probably chop it up by just rubbing it.
Will curing cannabis when it is really dry, affect the cure/quality/etc?
I was thinking of either putting a drop or 2 of RO water in the jar every 24 hrs, until it was remoistened, or getting some of the really dry stems, without buds on them, dipping them in water for an hour or 2, letting dry out till its a bit bendy but not snapping, and put into a jar for 24hrs, then recheck.

What should I do?

Cheers

cure as normal, they are supposed to be crispy on the outside when you start the cure, the moisture will become even throughout after the cure. if you really want you could add a orange peel or something for a day, but i dont think that will be needed.

I use a couple fan leaves off another plant. That way there is no smell and no excess moisture to promote more mold growth. try this (or anyone else's suggestion) first before using any water. it takes about 24 hours to get the moisture back. This way you really dont have to worry about leaving them in there either. You can just leave them in there until they turn crispy... I have never had a problem with too much moisture from using leaves. try just 2 to 4 leaves and you will be happy with the results.

I would suggest taking them in the shower with you.(Sound funny I know) Open up your jars and let them sit in the steam for sometime. I do this with my Cigars to "Re-Charge" them when Im too medicated to remember to add water to the humidifier. Once I do that there good to go. I've only had to do it once and it brought back the moisture. Hop it helps

Thanks for suggestions guys.
Gonna put a small piece of lettuce into each jar for 12hrs then leave for a few days and see how it goes.

Thanks again

Nice one motobomb62. Il keep that in mind mate.

I like your stems idea, Ive seen good results from lettuce, fresh fan leaves, and even some orange/citrus peels (thinly sliced, cooked at 300 degrees for 10 min, wrapped in cheese cloth and suspended ABOVE the bud in curing jars using strings. search "flavor curing").
