Itty bitty flowers on my plant! Need Help!

I've got a plant that is in it's flowering stage and I can't tell if it's male or female. Unfortunatley I don't have a pic of her/him. The reason for my confusion is that it seems to be forming the little balls of a male plant but the balls are starting to open and they look like itty bitty flowers. Anyone have any advice on that?

How old is the plant? If its a male and the staminate flowers (little balls) have already opened and released their pollen, they would LOOK like litte flowers.
Its really impossible for any of us to tell without some pics. But thats my guess....good luck

When the male pod opens it will look like a little flower but its MALE. If its female there will be little white hairs they usally start where the main stem meets into a branch. Pics will help. Here is a pic of a male pod that is opened up. If your plant is a male and you have females also get it out of there and kill it, burn it, just destroy the little bastards.

They look like little tiny flowers facing up, kind of like baby's breath flowers. And I don't see any little hairs on them that I can tell except two growing up from the sides - one on each side.
