I'm so excited! It's for an internship for this summer only, as I still have one year of law school left. Given the state of the economy, hopefully it will turn into a permanent offer once I graduate two summers from now.
As I was interviewing around the country, San Fran stuck out at me for sure. I knew I'd enjoy a summer there. The west coast weed was killer compared to what I get on the east coast. But at the same time I sort of didn't want to have to go across the country away from all my family and friends on the East Coast.
I've been praying for God to lead me to San Fran if that is His will, and it turns out after about 100+ resumes sent out around my state and the country (and ~10 interviews) San Fran was my only offer. So... there ya go! I'll take that as a sign I suppose.
I do have a couple questions if anyone is familiar with San Fran.
- what are good/bad areas of the town to live in? (as far as crime, general friendliness, whatever). I'll be working pretty much in the heart of the "financial district" downtown.
- what are some good places to look as far as finding a roomate to sub-lease with for the summer (craigslist? other city specific sites, particular newspapers if I can get a copy, etc.)
- do I have to be a CA citizen to get a medical cannabis card? (If you have a doctor you would recommend to see, that would be great too). I'll be bringing medical records and documentation of my chronic pain to show whatever doctor I go to for a recommendation.
Thanks!
