Hi all and welcome to my Jack the Ripper bush grow journal, please feel free to post comments or advice!

System: 5 gallon DWC bucket with a drip ring attached to a small pump

Temperature/Humidity: 75 degrees lights on 70 lights off. Humidity is between 50-60%

Lights: 96W 2 ft 4 bulb T5 for veg and I will purchase a 400 W HPS for flower

Strain: Jack the Ripper (70/30 S/I) from TGA Subcool. He's a local Colorado breeder who puts out great strains. JTR is a cross of Jacks cleaner and Space Queen. Jacks Cleaner consists of SSSC (Nevil’s) X NL5 X Pluton X Purple Haze X Jack Herer and Space Queen is Romulan X Cindy 99. So there's like 7 amazing genetics making up this strain! It has a strong lemony terpine smell and is a very unique smelling herb. It is the fastest haze hybrid available and it ROCKS! It has a flowering time of 49-56 days.

Nutrients: Blue planet nutrients 3 part elite series. I won a contest on another forum and was sent these nutes as a prize. A lot of people of that site love these nutes and have ditched GH and other top nutrient companies for blue planet.

So my plan for this grow is to get as many tops and make this plant as bushy as possible than bombard it with 400 W of HPS light from above and a ton of CFL side lighting to get a ton of buds. I have already topped the plant once and will do so again in about a week when the 4 tops grow taller. I will aim to get at least 16 tops before flowering. Heres some pics of my setup and the plant the day I got it.

Just changed out the reservoir last night and I bumped the nutrient level up to the second level on the BPN feeding schedule. I have a question for those of you who have grown DWC, how often do you change your reservoir??

We're here. I want to try some Sud stuff outside this spring haven't decided which one but Jack is looking pretty good. We have been having our first snows here and it looks nice while I'm sitting on the beach. Aloha

Ya man you won't be disappointed with TGA's stuff, it is bar none my favorite collection of strains out there. I wish they would make feminized seeds but oh well. I can usually pick up clones of a lot of Subcools stuff from dispensaries around me. I'm gonna do JTR this run and try a different TGA next go around im leaning towards Chernobyl (Train Wreck X Trinity X Jack the Ripper) or his new strain Ace of Spades (Black cherry soda x Jack the Ripper) supposedly its supposed to have strong berry and lemon scents.

Jack's Cleaner 2 would be a good strain for you in Hawaii, its 90/10 S/I and consists of
SSSC (Nevil’s) X NL5 X Pluton X Purple Haze X Jack Herer. It is half of Jack the Ripper ( Jack's cleaner x Space Queen)

Right on man. JTR is an amazing strain, I've said it a bunch already but it really is great.
