jacks nutrients??

recently build a diy ucdwc/ ebb and flow hybrid. I also found an unopened bag of jacks professional high performance nutrients (25-5-15) at a flea market for 5 bucks and bought it. I have done research and people have really good things to say about jacks nutrients, although I know that it is not specifically geared toward cannabis. It is water soluble and has the necessary elements for growing plants. I just wanted some thoughts and opinions on the nutrients. Should I supplement with some thing else? Can I use this for veg and bloom? Is it worth it to use at all? I really don't like to spend money on nutes and they seem very overpriced.

i've used Jack's for many years. i use 20-20-20 and never use blooming nutes. that's a good veg formula you have. during flowering i would maybe two or three times us something with more phosphorus. GL

Thanks for the quick reply buddy. Ya I was thinking the same thing, I'm glad that you use jacks it seems like a very well represented brand. I'm going to get jacks bloom off amazon when I get close to flower. Is there anything you would recommend that I should know other than just following the directions?

just don't get too set on the blooming nutes. use sparingly due to the low amount of nitrogen in them. if used too much the fan leaves will begin yellowing prematurely. i would recommend to use it no more than twice. GL

Keep us posted as to viability in hydro. Doesn't mention hydro in its promotional material other than water soluble.

I'm about to start it up, about to germ some big bud and Afghan and use the Jacks, I'll see what h happens. Supposedly from my research these fuckers are going to get hella leafy, green and tall from all the nitrogen. And I'm okay with all of that

Yeah I know, I looked at that. But this was 5 bucks at a yard sale so I'm gonna give it a shot see if it does work
