i am so sick of this "civil war" horseshit...not gonna happen, americans are too fat, and like their comforts too much to start a fucking war about anything...some people might commit acts of domestic terrorism, be caught, tried, and imprisoned for life....that doesn't constitute a civil war

It's going to be hard for white supremacists to win a race war when about 40% of your military are Black or Hispanic. Do they actually think the 60% who are white will turn against their brothers in arms?

Yeah, I guess they do.

maybe half of them will, so that makes it a 70/30 split...i almost hope they try some shit, i'd love to see that 30% shot down like dogs for being enemies of the country, it's military, and it's citizens...and if a few of them get access to something dangerous, that will suck, but it'll just illustrate to the survivors of whatever they do, just how little they actually care for the country and it's people, and how full of shit they have always been...which won't bode well for the republikkkans who will be trying to run the shit show....they'll be lynched before they could be brought to trial, for being responsible for the deaths of the citizens they have taken an oath to serve and protect

I would not hope for that.

Better that we weed out the 20% or so who are hard core white supremacist radicals.

it doesn't seem like it would be that hard, work up a psychological profile, make it mandatory, and retire the ones who "fail"...give them honorable medical discharges, or w/e, and then use the test as a screening tool for new enlistees, and while we're at it, give a similar one to police officers, and do the same thing, retire the ones who fail with their benefits, and then use the test on all future...cadets?...or w/e they call cop wannabes...
the only reason i say retire them with benefits is to stop the fucking republikkkans from grabbing the bars of their cages and throwing shit everywhere, and because the test wasn't a requirement when they signed up...

Not a classic 19th century civil war, but something else, in a way you are already in a modern civil war, the other side is using extra parliamentary methods, violent and anti democratic means to seize or retain power. Politics has kinda broken down, because you need good will on both sides, but this shit is not born of the parties, but of the people. The republicans pay no political price for their behavior, in some cases the more they stick their thumb in Uncle Sam's eye, the better.

I'm afraid the republicans broke politics and one can no more deal with them on a civil basis, than the British could deal with Hitler after Munich. Honesty, integrity and goodwill are required for politics to work, do you believe republicans have these attributes? It's becoming more apparent everyday, that you are dealing with a criminal organization and not a political party anymore. Christ knows there are enough republicans under indictment and investigation for crimes and there could be a lot more, if there was a will to investigate them.

So civil war doesn't look like the old fashioned kind, but more like what you are seeing now, only more intense with more terrorism. If the democrats can win a big enough majority in 2022, they can nip much of this shit in the bud with changes to law and regulations. There is no shortage of good ideas on how to diffuse, tame, imprison and muzzle these assholes, you just need the political power to do it. More democracy will go a long way to solving many issues and so will getting rid of for profit hate media and domestic terrorist laws.

Nothing says 'no collusion' like making sure you get your story out into the public so that all your coconspirators know what they can say and what is still being hid while the investigation is going on.

They don't have a snowball's chance in Hell of hiding this and it's beginning to dawn on some of these psychos, just how much potential shit they could be in. Anybody who signed on as a fake elector, is pretty well fucked and they should be getting very worried about now, anybody with common sense would be scared to death.

If this business is pursued as a hub and spoke conspiracy, which it was, it could mean serious prison time for a lot of people. There were just as many others in each state than those who signed the documents involved and it should cut the heart out of a few state party organizations. There were several parts to this seditious conspiracy, the insurrectionists at the capitol, pressuring Pence, fake electors, pressuring and threatening local election and DOJ officials and those in the congress who were part of the plan.

Donald should send thousands of henchmen and minions to prison, along with suckers, politicians, the mentally ill and a dozen lawyers as a bonus!

We will find out. If there are any cracks though they are getting the word out with all these interviews/podcasts that they are using to get their stories straight in real time in a way that the next attempted coup participant gets to pretend like they didn't know about.

Well there are a lot of very frightened people involved, people who want to send other people to prison and don't expect to get sent there themselves! The prospect of 5 or even 20 years in prison and their lives destroyed will send many of them and their lawyers running to make any deal they can. These people would be completely unprepared for the prison "experience" and fear it like Hell fire.

As for Alex Jones, he was sued out of financial existence and we await a settlement. He's in shit over this and will need expensive legal help. Rudy is in unimaginably deep shit, not just over the fake electors, but right back to the Ukraine and probably 2016 election. Meadows doesn't look like he will do well in prison and they will have him by the balls too. None of these people stand for anything, have no morals, ethics or loyalty to a cause greater than themselves, even the Nazi's had that, but the cause sucked.

I would look for a lot of people trying to make deals at all levels in this conspiracy, they communicated by text and email and there is a paper trail a mile wide. All the moving parts of the plots and conspiracy come together with Trump, Rudy and Meadows, who was Donald's cock and brain. Guys like Flynn, Eastman and Brannon and others supplied the ideas to trump and he went for almost every crack pot scheme they spewed at him.

It was the capitol insurrection that made all the difference and put a face on it, most of the other plots and schemes revolved around it and the fake elector plot was an intricate part of a larger seditious conspiracy.

DOJ Investigating Fraudulent Electors Presents Opportunity to Flip Them Up the Criminal Food Chain

Deputy Attorney General Lisa Monaco told CNN that the Department of Justice is reviewing the fraudulent elector certificates that were submitted which falsely certified that Donald Trump won battleground states he actually lost, but cannot comment further "on ongoing investigations." Given that the false elector certificates were mailed to Congress and to the National Archives, there is potentially serious criminal exposure for the people who signed these fraudulent documents. This video discuss one of the applicable criminal statutes and how it will give federal prosecutors significant opportunity to leverage cooperation and work their way up the criminal food chain.

I heard or saw something on PBS or NPR that most political violence is from folks who feel out numbered. Right wingers who live in the PNW or lefties who are in the deep south. When you are around folks who believe like you do, there is no reason to act out.

Looks like it's jail for ole one eye, until they can arrange more permeant government housing. He looks like a candidate for the supermax to me and could be living in Colorado, until removed in a bag.

So really then it is easier to just trick people into thinking that they are surrounded by 'them' if you want to create chaos.

what lefties in the deep south have rioted lately? the last bunch of shit to get blamed on southern liberals turned out to have been perpetrated by white supremacist agents....
and the south as a whole is pretty fucking right wing (i and my friends don't make up enough of the population to make a statistical difference)
and they still act up from time to time...
