Jerome Baker Designs?

Is this really a JBD(Jerome Baker Designs)? Someone told me all real jerome baker's have the initials JBD stamped into the chamber with two. Is this considered a real jerome baker even if it doesn't have the stamp in the chamber?

I own an original Jerome Baker water pipe. It does indeed have JBD stamped just above the ice catcher. If your's doesn't have the stamp, it's not a Jerome Baker.

false - before the jbd did the ice catcher he did not stamp all his tubes.
He did not stamp her early hookah's either.
as for the other pieces i don't know.

Your's does not look like a jbd in my opinion - its nice though.

I've owned two JBD's, neither were stamped (although they did always come with stickers back in the day it seems).
Both of them are/were plain janes (compared to most JBD's).
The first was from around 97 (which I broke).
The second one which I still have which is VERY plain jane is from around 99-00.
My friend was a huge JBD fan and has owned at least 4. Only one was stamped.

Although the glasswork at the top is reminiscent of many JBD's, there are two things that make me think the pipe pictured is not a JBD.
1.) The female slide has balls. Perhaps they did this later on, or I've just never seen one come with this. (could just be a replacement - IDK)
2.) Colors on the bottom. Way too thick and colored on the bottom for (at least older) JBD. Even the craziest work JBDs seemed to have generally translucent bottom portions.

So, while I have doubts it is a JBD, it's a very nice piece.
