Found Hermie any tips on how to reduce pollination
found a hermie yesterday, several bunches of pollen sacks, several already open im at day 31, it was the remmed bubba kush from GHS, i had a hermie last run and cut early, im going to let these finish, i have already pulled out the bubba its awaiting the chop in the down stairs bathroom (to keep any air from getting to the growroom. what are my chances on still getting sinsemilla buds, i know it depends a lot on air flow and what not, but when a flower is pollinated will that whole plant get seeded or just the trichome that was pollinated, this really sucks cuz this was the best indoor grow i have had. and by the way i had absolutely no light leaks. im officially done with fem seeds for good.

Never been fond of Greenhouse myself.

Whenever I find a pollen sack I just pluck it out with tweezers. Not much you can do about it. If several have opened you probably will have a few seeds, but they will most likely be immature as you are 31 days into flower at the time of pollination. If the buds aren't too developed you can rinse the entire plant down to wash off any already released pollen.

Just try to get them out if you can, but there will be some you don't get. Prob not worth keeping...I had to chop my Vanilla Kush early because it hermied like crazy.

I hate hermie plants. I've got a Master Kush that is prone to it, and it's plain frickin annoying.

yea there were actually more then several sacs i have already pulled out the bubba and im going to chop it, anyway to tell if there are seeds developing without ripping open buds?

if you see white pistils that look like they've been light burned and then they turn brown. Thats the sign i've seen of pollination. I've also seen bud growth change and become a lot less dense. The bud shape wasn't as uniform after pollination and calyx formation changes. you maybe too far into flower to see those effects tho.

My Super Lemon Haze is an incredible plant. I absolutely love it, yields well, tastes great, excellent high, frosty as February and is very trainable. All around winner in my book. Their White Widow I thought was nice as well, but that was years ago.

I grew a single fem SLH and it was some of the worst bud ever...might as well have been shitty bagseed. I also grew out 3 of 5 GHS trainwreck that were subpar, not as bad as the SLH though.
What strain are you going to cross the Querkle into?
Not sure...def both querkles, prob a space queen. Going to do some more when I sex the diesels and get a good male from those.

Nice to see you back around SICC!

Damn, man. Sorry to hear about that. Sounds like we've had opposite experiences with it.

yea turns out that hermie has pollinated all my all of my plants doing exactly what farmer said. they must have been pollinate for ove a week now cuz ai can see light green seeds inside some of the cracked calxyes. so oh well my buds guna be seeded. im actually pretty fond of the bubba kush that hermied it was the most vigorous by far, with beautiful dark green indica leaves. any idea if the seeds will bre fem or regular? im def guna harvest the seeds out of the powerkush that has ridiculous huge buds at day 33 or so. the bud growth has definitely slowed so thats guna hurt my yield. im pretty pissed cuz im guna have to shut this down and move it after this grow. was hopeing a nice seedless yield. i don't the the quality is going to be an issue they are all resin covered and smell great especially the kings kush it smells like oranges and pine. should have looked at everything better when watering just was always busy. just curios jerry and others who wanna chime in on this question. approximately how many hours per week do you spend working on your grow?

The seeds produced will be hermies...they will be female but will hermie severely. Probably worse than the parent plant. I would just get rid of them and start again with reg seeds.

As for hours per week...I usually do 2 hours every morning before lights off (8am, I have serious sleeping issues) for feeding and general appraisal. I transplant every couple weeks, and that usually takes a few hours to mix soil and get them situated. And then trimming takes a while, as does maintenance and repais to the room, and filling jugs of water.

I would guess 15-20 hours a week. More plants = more time.

i grow in a tent---quickest, most efficient way of growing as far as setup, maintentace and dismantle. ive built probably 9 bozxes in my past, and the tent has proven to be the most efficient.

i grow straight organically in 5 gallon containers, minimizing time spent on PH adjustment and watering.

I use a base of concentrated organics with a top layer of high quality organic soil. I water 1-2 times a week with 24 hour sat-out tap water.

IMHO, this is the best, most efficient, cost-effective, time-saving way to produce the best dank I, or any of my friends, have seen.

Average time spent per week: 3 hours (I check on them twice a day, usually for 10-20min in the orning before work and once when I get home. I dont have to, but I believe a good gardener should always check in with their garden atleast once a day. During this time, I keep documented notes detailing all the specific details in case I want to grow out the stain again in the future. Currently, I have a catalog of 20 strains grown to dank-perfection. I am currently working with 2 more strains, and will be providing a smoke report on 6 more strains in a few more weeks once this harvest has cured.)

Growing can be easy, but most people obsess over it and make it alot more technical than it ahs to be. Rule of thumb: Learn to grow by reading, Buy nice/reliable equipment, grow organically, be patient, dry and cure the right way. Doing these simple steps will produce bountiful, flavorful buds that will make you quite the cannabis connoisseur.

Sorry for replying to that hijack there, jerry, but i thoguht it was important to point out that if u go organic, time is minimized on the garden.

Looking forward to your next update....how many strains you run at a time on average?

Now thats sounding real good made your own seeds from the sour og..
Hell yeah I also pulled 20 seeds from a couple buds of my Sour OG #4, pollinated with the same triploid male.

Also, I pollinated Querkles 2 and 3 and all 3 Space Queen with the pollen from Querkle #1. So I'll have some Querkle and Space Queen x Querkle seeds too.

Still bummed I didn't get a Space Queen male...
