Jerry's Perpetually Organic Garden

Well SICC you had to go and Jinx me, didn't you? As I was inspecting/watering the plants yesterday I found mold in the middle of my beautiful Afghan Kush cola. Shitty.

I trimmed off the buds around it as best I could, but lost at least a half oz in the process. Shit happens. I think it's because I didn't move the fan into the tent when I set it up...I thought the passive air moving around would be enough, but alas I was wrong. That AK really gets fucking dense!

Otherwise things are going smoothly...pics to come later...
Ouch, my bad :(
Haha don't feel bad, it isn't really your fault. I'm not that upset about it. Kinda surprised it happened though, given the max humidity reading over the last few weeks was 49% (which is still a bit on the higher side, but not so bad considering the humidity outside has been in the 90% range recently). Can't wait for winter and those 25% rh days...

I'm going to transplant my Tahoe and Sour OG's now...I'll get pics soon!

Oh, and I harvested a handful of lower branches on the Critical Jack and a few on the Pineapple Chunk, just because I'm tired of waiting. I'm pushing 75+ days now and still they aren't quite finished. The Critical Jack smells exactly like a bag of skittles. I couldn't get the smell out of my nose.

Growing 3 pineapple chunks and 2 LSDs at the moment a long with others, the LSD seeds i got seemed to be pretty week but the pineapple chunk were crazy healthy. You plants look great, just read from beginning to end.

Keep up the good work,
STS

and jeb5304 fuck you for you're sig, that bug got me. and i guess fuck me too for being too baked

hows the new tent working out jerry? chop any of the ladies yet? That sucks about the afghan, looking foward to the new pics. :joint: farmer
Oh yeah, also how did u like the blue cheese you grew? Could u post some pics of those if you get the chance? thanks.

Hey guys, sorry I haven't posted in a while. I've been sick for the past week and lost the charger to my camera. But I'm slowly getting better and I found the charger, so we'll have some new pics soon.

I harvested the remains of the Afghan Kush about 10 days ago. The Critical Jack and the Pineapple Chunk were harvested in 2 increments over the past week. I did get a couple pics before my camera crapped out, but I haven't put them up since I've been feeling so shitty.

Otherwise things are pretty much the same. The 8 Cali Connection seeds are vegging away. The Vanilla Kush and Jack the Ripper are going into the flower room any day now.

I'm charging my camera battery now and will get some pics up after they wake up @ 8pm.

I finally got pics. Here they are...

First, pics of the Critical Jack and Pineapple Chunk just before harvest. They look pretty ragged in the pics, but they turned out just fine. Drying has been a SLOW process, as it has gotten quite cold in my neck of the woods. Slow drying is good drying though, so I don't mind. I'll get some dried bud shots soon, and then maybe do a proper grow/smoke report.

Here are a couple pics of the Afghan Kush and Casey Jones I took back on 10/27 and never uploaded. The Casey hasn't really progressed at all, we are pushing 90 days. As of right now I still have room in the tent for her, but the moment I become pressed for space she is outta there.

Casey Jones. Sucks ass. That's bagseed for you I guess.

Afghan Kush. This is only like 3 weeks into flower. She flowers quick and hard!
attachment.php

attachment.php

Now on to current pics, taken this morning. Starting with Reserva Privada OG Kush. Definitely has some stretch to her, but she'll fill out. She did last time at least.
attachment.php

Only a couple weeks flowering and already she is getting frosted.
attachment.php

Next, Critical Jack flowering since 10/26. This is one of two 3rd generation Critical Jack's.
attachment.php

attachment.php

This is the other. I acquired a couple 9x9x10 pots a while back and decided to try one on the Critical Jack. I vegged it 9 days longer than the other one so it had a chance to acclimate to its new home before I switched to flower. The big pots require a TON of soil.
attachment.php

attachment.php

Next, the same Afghan Kush pictured above, 13 days later. A little droopy because she was thirsty, but quite healthy.
attachment.php

attachment.php

Next, the second generation Critical Jack that has been flowering for about 7 weeks. Certainly not my best plant to date, but her buds are filling out very nicely, even though there is some issue going on with the leaves. Only a couple more weeks till harvest so whatever.
attachment.php

attachment.php

This is the second generation Pineapple Chunk. Stretched a bit when I first put her in flower, so the yield won't be as nice as the first plant, but this isn't a huge yielding plant anyway. Amazing smell though and tastes ridiculous out of the herbalaire....
attachment.php

She has been flowering as long as the Critical Jack and LSD, so only a couple more weeks.
attachment.php

Speaking of LSD...I forgot how awesome this plant can be.
attachment.php

attachment.php

attachment.php

Next, my little Jack the Ripper. I've had quite the struggle finding a good pheno from this pack given the males and seeds that failed to germinate, not to mention the crazy stretchy pheno female I grew out for a few generations (who tasted great but grew very stupidly). But this is a solid looking plant that if turns out female will undoubtedly be what I'm looking for.
attachment.php

Next, the Vanilla Kush. I decided to put her in the other 9x9x10 white pot just for fun. Both this plant and the JTR above were moved into flower from veg immediately after these photos were taken. January should bring some fun treats!
attachment.php

This is the Amnesia Lemon I compulsively started a few weeks ago for no good reason. It marks the 4th Barney's Farm plant currently growing in my garden (LSD, Pineapple Chunk, Vanilla Kush) and every single one has been a winner (so far). They rank pretty high with me right now.
attachment.php

attachment.php

Here are the 4 Regular Tahoe OG and 4 Regular Sour OG started from seeds, along with an Afghan Kush clone and a Pineapple Chunk clone. I just purchased 4 more of the 9x9x10 pots and intend to put the females from the Sour and Tahoe in them.

Finally, a group shot in the tent just before bedtime. You can see Casey Jones in the top right.

That's everything. Hope you enjoyed the tour! Let me know what you think...:leaf:

are those the sour og from cali connect?

They are indeed. I got four of each regulars, all 8 germinated no problem. As I was training them the other day I got a real good whiff of sour diesel from a couple. I just had a quarter of some killer sour d I picked up from a buddy and the smell I had the other day was dead on. I've got some pretty high hopes for the sour og.

I'm going to start flowering them soon so I can determine sex and transplant the females. I'll get some more personal shots of each soon though, so stay tuned...

looking great jerry, still loving that LSD. Those cali connect plants look great. Those are gonna be some fat kush leaves. Hope your JTR turns out to be a lady, shes a pretty one. keep it green. :joint: farmer

So there seems to be a fair amount of interest in the Cali Connection plants, so I took a few more detailed pics of each one.

I recently split the plants into separate veg rooms, moving the Tahoe into the original veg room and leaving the Sour in the alternative. Both rooms employ 8 26w cfl's, and I figured they could use the extra space. All have begun training and are responding well.

We'll start with the Sour OG in no particular order...

Here is Sour OG #3.

Sour OG #1. This is my early favorite because she is the triploid and growing pretty solid. Plus having an extra branch per node is pretty cool, though I think it will grow out of it eventually when the nodes start truly alternating. You can't really tell what's going on in the pics though.

Now on to the Tahoes...

Here is Tahoe #3. A couple of these seem to have stretched a bit more than the Sour, but nothing too severe.

They definitely respond well to the training...

Here are a few bonus shots...

This is the Afghan Kush clone, looking quite nice. Very strong growing and stable plant, just need to avoid the mold...

Here's the Pineapple Chunk clone I took when the plant was well into flower. Beginning to veg out a bit finally.
attachment.php

Finally, two clones I took yesterday. Jack the Ripper on the left, Vanilla Kush on the right.

Oh, and by the way, my large JTR plant (from which the clone originated) is officially a FEMALE!!!!!!!!!! :leaf:

Hey Jerry

Been a while. Plant lookin good as always. I see you got a tent and a 600...nice.

I was wondering, do you see a better yield from topping or LST/SC? I did a side by side with 2 sharksbreath and they ended up the same exact weight...64g each...

How is that JTR smoke?

Skeet

Veryy nice grow man, I am impressed for sure. One question.. When you take a clone from a flowering plant should you let it go back to veg or just wait for the roots to establish and flower it from there? I'd really appreciate a response if you don't mind. :) Be well and keep growing some beautiful green.

Hey skeet,

I always find that LST and supercropping provide the best yield because you don't remove the primary apical meristem which has the potential to form the largest buds on the plant, as is done when topping. You can achieve the same results by just bending them, so why butcher?

The JTR smoke from the other plant was awesome, aside from being unbearably stemmy. This didn't matter in the vape though, which was nice. Just shove that shit in the crucible and let the herbalaire do its magic.

This next JTR will be a winner though...I'm stoked shes female!

The only real difference between taking a vegging clone vs. a flowering clone is the amount of time it takes for the plant to begin vegging. They both take about the same time to root, but the flowering clone will take longer to revert back to veg and begin branching again. I wouldn't put a flowering clone immediately back into a 12/12 regimen...though I'm not sure exactly what would happen. Just let it veg out enough to grow normal again before switching back to flower.

Yeah, the Casey Jones seed came from a bag I got from a buddy...I got 8 total I think. It was the best smoke I've had in a while, but there is no way of telling what pollinated it to produce the seed. I found some bananas in the actual bud, so I assumed it self pollinated and the seeds were probably female(ish). I'm pushing 6 weeks flower now, and the plant looks pretty much the same, though it is pushing out pistils only...no male parts. I figure the heavy sativa genetics might just require an insanely long flower time, like 16-18 weeks or something crazy. Still, I would expect better bud production after 6.

Oh the wonders of bag seed...

There's your answer. You've probably unlocked the thai genetics hidden in that plant by the looks of things. That would account for the insane flowering time. I'm currently running Casey Jones and mine is done in nine weeks, yielding 4oz+ per plant. It really is lovely smoke. Everything else looks nice, though I'd say you need to water a little more often, they shouldn't get to the point of wilting or you stress them too much. FWIW
