Jerry's Perpetually Organic Garden

hey man, I second the suggestion to enter your pics. Amazing. Can you post your soil recipe or lemme know what page its on lol

What is the volume of those containers? I've noticed the square pots with the holes in the side can grow much larger plants than round pots of the same size.

The small white pots are 7x7x9 (1.9 gallons), the large ones are 9x9x10 (3.5 gallons).

Sunshine #4 (or any peat base medium), 35-50% worm castings, high-N bat guano, kelp meal, alfalfa meal, azomite, mycorrhizae, dolomite lime. Sometimes I add a little Roots soil or Light Warrior.

I recently acquired some General Hydroponics "Rare Earth" which is silicate and humates, but haven't really used it as it looks identical to the azomite. After doing a bit of reading they seem very similar, but I'm not sure if the Azomite contains the humates.

Thanks man, I'm going to build my soil just like you, would you mind posting the amounts of everything, I've never mixed up soil so I wouldn't know how much to put in. And will my myco maddness work for the mycorizhae? About how much are all the ingredients? I pay 90 for what I use and I would spend more to hopefully get results like that! Also when do u start feeding using that recipe?

I can't really quantify the amounts, as I don't measure, but most have recommended amounts listed on the package. The most expensive is the 40lb bag of worm castings at $20. I use Roots Oregonism XL, which has similar ingredients to the myco madness, and Earth Juice brand Rooter's Mycorrhizae. I only use both because I started with the Rooters but wanted something with Trichoderma in it, so I got the Oregonism XL.

After transplant I don't really feed for 2 or 3 waterings, then I start with the Diamond Black and BioRoot and slowly work up to the rest of the nutes.

Here are Space Queen 2 and 3 before harvest.

My mates growin a Sharksbreath from a freebie seed I gave him, cant wait to see your pic's and then show him what he's got comin. Whats your opinion on her jer??

Do you ever flower in the 2 gals? Last time a friend of mine did that it came out pretty fluffy, but all your shit looks extra dense.

Happy 420 dude. I'm starting an organic 420 garden today in your honor. Going to grow Hollywood Shootout (AK47 x LA Confidential), Grape Krush, and as many autoflower strains I can find at the dispensary today.

Enjoy your 420 (:

Medium/heavy yielder, very fruity smelling thus far. Probably has another week or so but I'm looking forward to it. I've been searching for Lambsbread in seed form and this is the closest I can seem to get.

Damn almost forgot to ask have you ever had a claw leaf issue in soil i can find lots about it in hydro but just asking?

Yes, I primarily flower in the 2 gal pots. They are what I started with as my flowering containers and I still use them as such. Currently I have 1 RP OGK, 4 RP Sour Diesel, Amnesia Lemon, NYC Diesel and Tahoe OG #3 all in 2 gal white pots and in various stages of flower.

Good luck with the organic garden...it's far less complicated than it seems. I know I was a little daunted at first but quickly discovered it can be as simple or intricate as you make it.

As I do most 4/20's recently, I've spent a great deal of this holiday reflecting upon the limitless potential of hemp and hemp seed/oil and how it is a travesty that it is illegal to produce in the US because it is in the same genus and species as marijuana. Google "hemp facts" and read the first couple links if you aren't familiar with wonders of hemp. My favorite factoid: hemp seed is the only naturally occurring plant source of ALL 16 amino acids, from which all proteins are constructed. It also is high in fatty acids like Omega's and GLA's. 65% of the proteins found in hemp are "edestin,"which are easily digestible and act as precursors to vital body components such as hormones, hemoglobin, enzymes and antibodies. Hemp's edestin structure is the highest in the plant kingdom, making it more digestible than soy and many other plant foods.

Personally I put a couple tablespoons of hulled hemp seed on my cereal every morning (along with organic blueberries, strawberries and bananas and flax seed meal), but it can be used in a wide variety of dishes.

There are literally over 25,000 uses of hemp, and before 1938 it was a STAPLE crop of the United States as it was the sole material used for manufacturing sails and rope on ships. The first diesel engine was designed to run on hemp seed oil, and hemp is an excellent source of biofuels, where it creates a "closed carbon cycle" by absorbing an amount of CO2 during its life equivalent to that which is given off when it is burnt, which can help curb climate change.

My point is that most holidays involve thoughtful reflection of events that transpired in the past that make this day in history unique, and 4/20 should be no exception :peace:

Awesome last post jerry I totally agree that its a damn shame we can't produce it. I mean just doing small amounts of research you learn that it has 100s of uses from animal and human health food to clothing. I wonder why its still illegal to grow? Take it easy jerry.

Got pics of most flowering plants today. The weather here is getting warmer and that means the stupid gnats are returning to make my life difficult. They seem to mostly be living in the back grow space on the Grape Stomper x OG, Deadhead OG, Sour Hazy Jones and Blue Widow, so I'm going to cover the soil tops with sand and suffocate the bastards.

Let's focus on the plants I do have images of today, shall we?

So I didn't get pics of the RP OGK or the Amnesia Lemon @ 45 days 12/12, of the NYC Diesel and Tahoe clones that have been flowering for about 10 days. I'll try to get those and pics of the little plants up soon. :leaf:

Yeah you can actually see it on a couple of the Sour Diesels. It's mostly a sign of over-fertilization so I think it can happen equally in soil or hydro.

Lookin great Jerry, I love reading your updates bro your pics are amazing in detail and you really know your stuff too , Keep on bringing the Bud porn!!
