gotta say I do things a bit different i like to give them loads of light from the start, have my 600's 3ft away from seedlings. of course you should nute them you want them to grow as fast and big as possible in the shortest time so you can flower asap
like everyone says you shouldnt use john innes soil no3 for seedlings cuz its to strong and will burn the plants. well I had some old bagseed germed them and put straight into JH no3 soil and on my windowsill there growing slow but I didnt see any nute burn at all. I have pics or can get pics to back this all up if you like

not shooting the messenger or anything thats just what I do I love the ziplock clone idea and sorry cadillacjack81 It was early when reading your post and read it outa context
anyway I dont think I even know what medium/nutes the OP is planning to use so ill shut up now

Rockwells are 25cents each :S not much of a waste man but theres so many differnt methods as long as u get good dope its all good :) I just think rockwells are best for seeds and yes just berry it after hope all is well(Y)

had a look at them coco pellets this is what I read, i still stand strong by adding nutes, had a look at my babies today and they are doing ok by it. why do everyone think really low nutes are the way to go I understand you dont want to burn them but 1/4 strenght ?

This best selling propagating plug is now available in Coco Coir. Drop in the seed or cutting and place in a propagator and off it goes.

Jiffy peat pellets are a really easy way of starting seeds and cuttings. Just soak them in water, give them a squeeze and put them in a propagator. They contain a balanced nutrition so no need to add anything. They fit into rockwool blocks and are equally as great for organic growers.

Jiffy plugs are used around the world as an organic alternative to Grodan Cuttings Seed Cubes. Made entirely from compressed peat, simply add water your 38mm compressed plugs and watch them swell up ready for your cutting or seedling. Providing enough nutrients to get your young plant going, Jiffy plugs are a fantastic rooting medium that is extremely easy to use
