I'd love to see one of those bullies shut the fuck down. Gratifying.
Not so much gratifying as it is anger inducing and it made my job very difficult. Once, I responded to a multiple MVA. Head on, with multiples. I was attending the driver alleged to be at fault. This one LEO kept trying to question my patient, grabbing his arm, and berating him...CERTAIN he was drunk. He wasn't. He'd had a goddamn stroke! He pulled the gentlemans NRB mask off in a last ditch attempt to question him before transport. That's when things got heated. We went toe to toe. Cops hate being commanded by medical staff but they hate being wrong worse. I had issues with that fucker until he finally lost his job for similar behavior.

Holy fuck. Dude that guy probably just barely graduated high school. Yet he gets to fucking fuck with dying peoples masks...

Scary. People don't ask me why I will not sign anything that makes me donate my organs.... any more. I'm pretty sure it comes down to some asshole like this and in the second he makes some decision I'm dead and my organs are in play...

Good for you.

When police are policing each other for behavior like that, I'll begin to trust them.

Thank you for being out there. You people are often the heroes (unfairly, mostly unsung). The stroke victim was certainly lucky you were dispatched to him.

TY. They weren't all that difficult to work with. I'm certainly grateful for their presence during DV calls. But there were always some that went unchecked far too often. I haven't worked EMS/ED for a few yrs and I'm probably being overly critical bc its been a rough week. Just reminded of how shitty those in authority treat societies most vulnerable.
Fuckers.

It's not easy to push back. It takes courage. It's courage I must admit I did not have at one point many years ago as I witnessed an abuse of police authority. I would like to think I would behave differently today, but it's hard to say. You don't have to wonder about that and should be proud!
