Thanks Napali...good to see you here again! I've set up a perpetual grow indoor too, so I never have the problem of drying up anymore:(

instead of cutting the main stem below the newest nodes, use scissors to cut the actual new leaf/stem/node growth at a 45 degree angle. Causes four or more main tops to shoot up instead of just the two. Doin this repeatedly over a prolonged veg period is called supercropping. It started when someone went to top their plant and accidentally just cut the new growth ( developing leaf sset) instead and said "Fuck I Missed" ;)

Correct me if I am wrong, isn't super cropping when you smash the new growth tip betwen thumb and forefinger to damage the cells and cause them to form a "knot" where the pinch was made allowing the stem to hold a thicker fuller bug without breaking?>

there is a whole process to super cropping..... FIM'ing or even simply topping will create the same effect..... for that matter you could actually squeeze and wiggle the stem....

Thanks man...should post some pics so we can see it!
Force flowering is def a pain in the ass outside because you have to be certain to cover your plant at the exact time every day. I put mine in my barn doors under my porch at 6 pm every evening then bring her back out at 9 pm when its pitch dark. So far, so good. Going on 1 week tomorrow...7 more :)

Dragon, I'm glad I have a friend like you on here...thanks for all your help! So, in other words, FIM'ing is the same as topping, only twice as much, right? I'm assuming it wouldn't do any good for me to perform this on my cheese, since its about to go into flower any time soon.
I topped my Northern Lights as an experiment and produced nice results. I'm going to do this on my indoor grow for SOG to keep my plants low/compact.
Thanks again my friend!:peace:

shoulda told me....... would've dropped by and smoked a phat toke with yah for the times..... ahh maybe we can bask in the afterglow of this outdoor season together.....

I don't recommend topping any outdoor plants within two weeks of flower....

works well indoor for some strains more than other strains....... I don't top kush strains or heavy indica strains for that matter..... I have found sativa dom strains love to be topped FIM'ed or super cropped though ;)
