Jordan of the islands

This is my first time getting intersex traits on my own plants, but are there not 5-6 clearly visible nanners in the picture you posted?
Is there? If they show up past 8 weeks they cause no harm, so I suppose I'm less vigilant at that point. :)

Jordan WAS good...back before he lost his original stock. I thought I had read somewhere he was raided and arrested; you can be absolutely sure the cops didn't leave him with his Mothers, or stash of seeds. This was the end of the God Bud that won any awards. Maybe this is why now he's the king of pollen chucker's with all the crosses he does? His God Bud is nowhere near the same as it was back in the late 90s. In fact, he won't even tell people what he did to it to make 'God Bud 2.0'...and he's considered a "breeder"? He has some supporters saying 'all his lines are worked to F2', which is BS if he doesn't have pictures of the F1. This is likely an excuse given for the complete lack of uniformity from his new pollen chucked seeds.

It's pretty sad to see somebody who was so highly respected turn into a joke of a breeder. Within the past few months, he asked people for wide-angle pictures of their grows to use on his website...wouldn't a guy who grows out hundreds of plants have a room of his own to post a picture of? The latest thing he posted on IG was about Slurricane x God Bud (his latest pollen chuck), saying it was the 'tastiest strain from In-House Genetics'. And that's all he is now; a guy who buys American seeds and pollen chucks his (now not so special) God Bud on them. So he's pollinating un-stabilized hybrids with his own unstabilized God Bud, and using American companies names to sell his own seeds.

Proof he's a pollen chucker? Just look at his latest IG post about this cross. Somebody asked him to see a photo of the parent Slurricane being used...he said "soon". Why would he say that? Likely because it's his first time growing it..and even if so, why not post a picture of it? He clearly didn't do a pheno hunt of Slurricane before pollinating it if he doesn't even have a picture of it. In fact, he doesn't have pictures of ANY of his own stuff. There are 2-3 guys on IG who he constantly re-posts their pictures. For an IG account with 8,000+ 'followers', he sure doesn't get many replies to his posts (purchased followers likely). And when reading the replies, there are countless comments about the total lack of uniformity among his plants and his piss poor customer service. One week he's on there saying 'orders are now shipped the next day!', meanwhile the comments say otherwise.

Also to note is that just after he started this new practice of "lets pollinate every American strain we can buy with Blueberry or God Bud", he said there would be no more coupons, and he was raising his prices... And what happens? Less than a month later, its a COUPON code. Then another, then another....pretty much every month, a new coupon. Meaning there is no reason to pay full price at any time; there is a coupon just around the corner. I tend to think his business isn't quite thriving like it used to. Why? Probably because word is getting out that his seeds now are just junk. Obviously he knew his God Bud was no longer good if he felt the need to inject new, untold genetics into it for 2.0.

30 years ago he may have been relevant, before the internet. When you had to pick up the green pamphlet of the Marc Emery seeds at the shops in Vancouver. Now whoever manages his IG page is making him look like a complete clown, with their cascading smiley faces and complete lack of ANY pictures he posts of his own. I mean, isn't IG meant to POST PICTURES?? That guy uses it to find people growing out his untested pollen chucks.
I can't help but agree with what you said, the first time I mustered up the balls to actually order seeds through the mail was Van Seed Bank and some of my 1st purchased strains were Blue God and Purps from JOI, both strains provided me a couple killer phenos, I've grown outside more than 35 yrs and have moved on,but due nostalgia I grabbed some Blue God 2 yrs ago and was nothing like it was a decade before . I also used to do his Skunkberry and God's AK-47,those were decent then also. The main tragedy of outdoor is that every season my genetics die, I'd love to be running those early Purps and Blue God phenos that I had back then. Every JOI strain that I've run the last 5 years has disappointed me in terms of uniformity, pheno variation all over the place, not the same, with so many strains to run I no longer try any JOI in my grow

You're right - if you zoom in you can clearly see nanners in that bud.
Yep ... I missed them. Trimming up the plant I've come across a dozen dark seeds.

I have been picking off the male pollen sacs as I notice them from below, but haven't seen any in a few days. I have noticed a few seeds started on the occasional bud, not sure how bad it will be yet though. Will be keeping an eye out for nanners over the next few weeks.

Snapped some pics from the garden this morning. All day 37 of flower.

Damn, that's sucks. Personally, if a plant starts herming out that early (day 37), I chop it immediately. I'd much rather lose one plant vs having an entire crop seeded.

Yeah that was what I would probably do if I had more plants.

This run was 2/4 plants so that would be half my plants haha. Just going to make bubble hash out of em anyways so not a huge issue of there's a few seeds.

Not such a big deal if making hash, although pollinated plants will produce less terpenes and trichomes.

4 blueberry show no signs of herm. I had red hot cookies in the same tent, they did herm, they were next to a vent that wasn't properly covered. The one with the best blueberry smell and trichome coverage, has the worst bud structure. I'm only half way through flower, so we will see.

Still not happy about the amount of males in a pack but they're at least 100% blueberry. No question about that.

In other words, JOTI is no longer a source for reliable genetics. I still think the real Jordan sold it, and this is just an example of a brands' name being capitalized upon as the LP's take over.

EDIT: But it's still a cheaper option to get those 'American strains' in a hybrid rather inexpensively for people willing to do a lot of pheno hunting.

Since his massive restock I haven't heard as much positive reviews, not sure whats going on but I'll pass on new JOTI gear for now.
I got 1 good blueberry plant out of a 13 pack. 9 of 13 were males.

Jordan, or whoever is acting as jordan, can't be bothered speaking directly to customers. He's a useless halfwit. He can fond time to make passes at any females he finds attractive though...

Fuck joti. Waste of money.

M/F ratios are not the breeders fault. It's a numbers game, sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. Stress during veg can also increase the chance of males.
