I never really figured out when JOTI became known as a good breeder, when I started growing 20 years ago he was known as a pollen chucker along with Cash Crop Ken or Federation seeds; often selling F2's of other people's work. Which is why they were cheap and good for beginners to learn with before investing serious money.

33 new strains? Yeah there is no way those were tested that fast.. I will not buy JOTI again.
Thing is - I might not even have a problem with it if they were at least being honest and transparent. Just be open about the fact that JOTI is under new management. Just be honest that these are f1 crosses probably best for hunting and not stabilized strains.

Nothing necessarily wrong with selling f1 crosses for a price that reflects it. I'd rather buy cheap pack of some f1's from decent genetic parents and do some hunting than drop $100, $200, or more for a pack of hype seeds from some breeders out there. Especially given some of the genetics are not as easy to come by from within Canada.

Just tell people what sort of business you're running and tell people what they're buying. Don't act like you're line breeding the next GodBud, BlueBerry, Haze, NorthernLights, Chemdawg or whatever when you're just mass chucking f1s

To say he was chucking F1's is giving him too much credit. He's chucking unstable polyhybrids with other unstable polyhybrids. I'm perfectly happy purchasing an f1 from two stable lines. At least when he was pollen spewing with his Godbud or Blueberry half of the genetics came from a stable line. Now? It's a mess.
And whoever is running the business now seems to act like a dishonest, immature little bozo.

My 'chemo' from them hermied, the clones from those plants hermied, and they sent me some lemon pineapple freebies with my purchase, which I didn't bother doing anything with after the chemo issues.
I wouldn't be surprised if it is the same seeds in both packages.
no, JOTI, the few times i've popped seeds has been A1. strong robust plants, bomb unique crop. (Black Rubble, Deep Purple)

Did the seeds make themselves?
Mine did.
I helped. I took the pollen from a really nice male and used it on the two females. In the end, the smoke from both is quite nice. Both have a nice blueberry scent, but I'll be popping seeds from the more blueberry of the two.

My friend gifted me some "deep purple" from JOTI. Does anyone have experience with that strain? After reading about all of these hermies, I am now not quite as enthusiastic to get them popped.
BB x PK seems like such a nice cross. I WANT TO BELEIVE!

JOTIs gear is solid. The only issue with him is if you live in the states and have to deal with shipping...

There is no "him" anymore. He sold the brand.
Do we know this for sure?

I bought a bunch of JOTI seeds. I've grown 3 strains and each threw bananas at the end (others in the tent didn't so I don't think it was environmental). Of the strains, two I thought were fine (Gods Space Needle and Black Dolato), and Shiva Skunk was outstanding... stinky... skunky... lemons... god damn that smells good.

That being said... I don't think I'll ever order from him again because there is too much mystery. I prefer breeders that are transparent and at least a little accessible to us commoners.

I had been engaged in an ongoing conversation with the real "Jordan" for about a year via email. After he sold his company (after all the pollen-chucking began), I had sent a new email following up on that conversation. I got a response something like "no clue what you're talking about".

Not the same person.

Do you have anything from him actually saying he's selling/sold the business or are you assuming he'd remember you/the conversation?

The fact you say "after the pollen chucking began" when he's always been a small company known for selling crosses
