ok this is my first time growing, I've set up a grow box in a room under my stairs, I got 6 100w=23w cfl bulbs, 3 red 3 blue, using foxfarm soil, distilled water, botanicare nutes, carbonated water for spraying leaves to give them some co2, I am using the scrog method, the box is 2x2x3 but light come down so the height is about 2ft7in, I have 5 fem seeds on the way from nirvana (new york power desiel), i'm going to start off with 2 to see how it goes, i'll probably be looking for help along the way but ya...

nice set up bro, im scribed...there is plenty of help here on RIU so just ask help for anything your unsure of, also those the only nutes you gonna be using? maybe some molasses will help give your flowers some extra zing :leaf:

lol, I feel ya man, just got my veggie garden all ready for this season(little late I kno)

the pro grow is 3-2-4, and the pro bloom is 1.5-4-5, no beans today either just waitin

so I cut some leaves off a plant cause my seeds haven't came yet, i put them in shultz take root, then put them in the cubes, it's almost been a day and they are still looking good (first time cloning) so hopefully they survive. the temp is staying at a constant 77f without any fans on, the plant I cut them from was outside its life and was about a foot and a half tall and it had small buds forming all over it so hopefully it's not too late to clone it

But those plants don't look to deep into flower and should flip back easily, just keep it moist in the dome n ull be straight

update, just got the seeds today 4 of them look good but there is 1 small one, i put 2 good looking seeds into a wet paper towel to germinate when they crack i will throw them in some soil, the two clones are looking good still, so i'll probably be running the two new york power diesel seeds and only one clone in my box, i'll see which clone out does the other. I don't know the strain of the clones but it was a pretty good smoke

nice, glad to hear nirvana didnt stiff you..good seeds should crack in 24-48 hrs, and wait till the taproot gets about 1/4" before planting it root down bongsmilie

the seeds cracked earlier today and the taproot was pretty good size almost a half inch, so I put them in the soil after i wet it with about 200ml of regular distilled water (the pots are only about a quart and a half) and I'll transplant them into the bigger ones at flowering time. how long should i go without nutes if I'm using the foxfarm ocean forest soil? and how long do they usually take to sprout up after putting the germinated seed into soil?

should sprout between 24-48hrs, i really think you should concider using tap water, left out in a open container for 24hrs before use, to get rid of some of the clorine(dissipates over time)... distilld is great and all, but your losing precious minerals that maybe your furtz cant replenish good enough....just puttin thats out there, that being said, i would say in about a week or so hit them with 1/4 strength every other watering, your using botanicare which i believe is mostly organic so it will be hard to burn them with those fertz anyway..should just give them a boost in the right direction...UP! lol

also, how them clones doin>?

one of the clones is looking kinda weak, it's leaves started to curl down and a little yellow tint on it's leaves, but the other one is still looking perfect like day 1 so i guess he just might out do the other one

i check the ph of the distilled water and it read 6.8 then i checked my tap water and it read about 7.8 so if i wanted to use my tap then i would have to get a ph down, if botanicare does buffer the ph to the right amount, do I check it after i put in the nutes in the water (will it mess up the reading cause of the nutes?)

Chech Ph before and after adding fertz until you notice stability in ph, ph should be 5.5- 6.3 before watering, read this post and realize that listening to any randome person will only get u to make newb mistakes, which I'm trying to spair you of...
