Jumping out of the dirt into the water and need some specifics... h20 here I come

Ok so I've been pretty laid back to this point with my growing thus far, just watering them and keeping them on strict light schedules with a home made grow room and flower closet, but now I'm ready to take my growing up a notch. I have continuously cloned White Widow and still have 2 mothers going full time and I'm soon to add Blueberry seeds to the mix. I'm thinking a full hydro system with every kind of nute that I am going to need. The only problem is I'm not sure on the specs of an operation like this. I'd like to know what I'd need to create a hydro set up that would be able to handle 4-6 full flowering babies. Also whatever nutes you all think would be the best for a hydro operation. I'm not against building my own set up or taking pointers so any ideas you have will be very helpful. Let me know what you've done that works.

For about $100, you could buy the rainforest 36. It holds 6 plants and isn't too expensive. RainForest 36, 6 site - Worm's Way# If u would like to build your own, I would say just look at the hundreds of DWC setups here on RIU. Those are easy to use, without a lot of maintence. As for nutes, I would say go with a simple 2 or 3 part mix, until u get a handle on the feeding. Then go up to the more advanced feeding schedules. The biggest problem I have run into doin hydro, is keeping the water cool. But if u can afford a chiller then that shoudnt be a problem either. Good luck and keep posting new pics

thank joint, that system actually looks like exactly what I would want if I decide to go buy one, and it looks easy to use as well. by the picture I wonder how big the plants can get in that thing but Im sure I can train them in some way. now just to figure out the best cloning incubator for my hydro babies.

Build your own. Get the Ebb & Flow connectors from a local hydro store along with the pump and buy some storage containers. You can customize your setup for your closet or whatever.

I live in MD, my local hydro store I think is MD Hydroponics which is about an hour and a half from where I live but I guess its worth it. I need to stock up on some of the main ingredients of the setup such as a shit ton of rockwool, nutes, etc. That grow chamber set up doesnt look too hard though. thanks man.

hey joint i got a question for ya.. it says that that system is best used as an incubator for cuttings and root developement, do you think it would be able to handle the plants through their full lifespan from root to flower?

I think it could definitely hold 6 plants no problem. It has other attatchments that allow you to put up to 30 little ones in there. 5 in each section. I think thats what they meant when they said its for little ones. It can be changed to handle just 6. I think you have to specify what u want when u buy it. Ive seen the system in person(not in use) and it looks plenty big enough for 6 medium sized plants to me.

I think this system is a little larger. EcoGrower , 6 site - Worm's Way and its a drip system. Hope u find what u need

As a newb and getting into Hydro i would tell you a couple of pit falls. PH PH PH Hydro you have to watch your PH Ideal is 5.8 I started using the flora series they are 1 part only because i didn't want to have to mess with nutes as a beginner. PPM"s with a meter you can cook your plants unless you go organic and i dont know much about that. You can always make your own table for EBB & Flow check mine out here of course mine is set up differently but with tub from target or Walmart and a small pump and air stone you could do it. Also drainage where will you drain your tanks?

And Be careful HYDRO is extremely addicting. !!!
