just a couple questions please help

Hey i am begining to grow with my 2 friends in my closet i am buying a 4 by 2 by 5 foot tent. i am kinda concerned about the smell though since my closet is near my door how can i almost completely get rid of the smell i heard carbon filters are good but are there any other ways? also would it be better to grow alot of auto flowering lowryders or a huge plant. i am trying to get the highest yeild possible consistently.

also i am getting a 400 hps/mh light with a ballast and i will prob have a fan with the carbon filter is that going to be loud, or create to much voltage is there anything i need to do to protect from a electrical fire or anything

grow northern lights, It has a neutral smell. You can also try ona block, one per 100 feet for the small blocks. as you said carbon filters are also an option. i bought a carbon filter that is a blower style but came with a power supply. Its pretty quiet. There are a few DIY solutions for carbon filters that may assist you. the pencil cup thread is good.

I wouldn't want to grow with "friends". Shit happens and if more than two people know it's not a secret anymore. I can't help you with your actual questions but consider the problems that can occur if you're not the only one who knows about the grow. Best of luck and sorry to sound like a bummer!

yeah ditch your "Friends" and do it your self
people can get a little weird when something dont go there way

it's deffinately better off to keep the grow to urself. The first time I grew I told mostly all my friends, nothing hapened though, I guess it really depends on who you can trust

well my point of view is this
things can go sour when people get mad/or dont get what they think they deserve
and they can do some nasty things to make sure the fell like they got even

I have been growing for 11 years and never had a partner and I never had any kind of problems
with people. I have watch many fellow growers get busted, rob or shut down because of disputes

search these forums here and I bet you find at least 100 topics of friends gone bad
