Just a few questions

Hey whats up guys im new to the community and growing in general.
Just have a few questions for you guys your help will be appreciated

1. Currently im growing 4 northern light plants and 4 silver haze plant in a 2x4 ebb and flow tray
under a 400 watt hps...they were vegged under a 400w mh until i saw preflowers then i switched to hps and from 18/6 to 12/12...they are in week 3 of flowering and ive been comparing them to other week 3 flowering plants that ive seen on here and the look like they are behind

2. for my next grow i am really considering growin SOG now i understand how to take cuttings and everything but im not clear on weather the mother plant has to be in the veg state permanently or flowering or what exactly

yeah keep your mother in veg. you might want to feed it 10% less nitrogen to increase rooting in your clones as well.

do you know what might be up with my current plants
they look nice and healthy but i really dont get why they look so small compared to other plants about the same age...the plants themselves are 4 feet already

not to sure, new to this myself. could be the grows you have seen were done on 24 0 veg, makes the plant grow faster. also you might want to check your nutrients, the only signs of a calcium deficiency is stunted growth.

The reason they are smaller could also have something to do with the strain. Not all plants are meant to grow tall. It could also be the time in the growing maybe they have a "slow" period. Also it could be that you did not veg them long enough or there is some sort of nutrient deficiency. You could also check your like...see how reflectivity is around it and how far away from yoour plants it is. hope one of those suggetions helps
