i work for caterpillar in the biggest "warehouse" they have. its not really a warehouse, its a packing/paint/shipping facility. its about 1 million square feet (no joke) and have all kinda of fun stuff to play with. but...i drive a stand up forklift around and store parts on shelves all day. sounds boring but time goes fast. I can't complain either.... it pays better then management at any mid level restaurant.

I want one of those robots they use for spot welding or moving heavy stuff around in my house. Program it to get stuff out of the fridge, hold the bong--or lighter, clean stuff up. It would be so sweet. If I ever catch the security slippin.....

I do the same with electronics too, but not so high end like sansui 9090 receivers and stuff. But now I may do that with motorcycles and other things since you sparked my interest...
Ive made a small fortune flipping audio gear,i started off small with the old silver faced stereo gear from Pioneer,Sansui & marantz, took them profits & went to another web site called http://www.audiogon.com/ & started trading on that site,i know several people who make their entire living trading used high end hifi gear on that site, the best i ever made from audiogon was a little over $38,000 profit in one year part time, fukin guys are nuts over the high end gear, seriously rich people visit that site & will pay through the nose.

If you have some free time look the site over, you can easily pull out 20% to 30% returns on your initial investment once you learn going rates for high end stereo gear, use the advanced search bar & enter your zip code,it will bring up all the high end gear in your area.http://www.audiogon.com/

I do business to business lead generation. I am a woman that likes to yap (go figure) so I started my own small business from home helping other small business in getting new clients. Works well for me. Pay is good since people HATE calling on the phone and I pretty much set my own hours.
nice...........

The speakers on audiogon that cost $4,000 wouldnt be considered high end at all,you can buy speaker wires on that site that cost well over $10,000.

These RCA cables for hooking up a cd player to the preamplifier cost over $15,000 for the pair.

You could spend $500,000 on a system like this & still not have anywhere near top of the line gear.

But yes you can hear a large difference between those type stereo components/speakers over the junk chain stores like Best Buy sells,or the plastic Bose garbage that we see all over tv advertised as high fidelity equipment.

It blows peoples minds when they hear my hifi rig for the first time.

If I was a billionaire I still wouldn't spend half a million on stereo equipment. 10K tops and I would have to be absolutely convinced it couldn't get any better. I have a little over three grand in my system now and it sounds pretty damn good to me :)

I prob think these real expensive systems would prob sound a little bit better than yours bud, and maybe look better, but id never pay those price either, im sure if the system ya got has all the latest tech, thats good enough, those systems are for people who just wanna brag "hey check my system it cost me 10k, and whilst your up look out the window at my car"

But even a $100,000 system still sound wrong in a $3,000 room.. if you're into that $ range you need a proper acoustically built room..

Thanks, yes I'm no stranger to audiogon. Well more videogon actually but both. Remember CRT projectors? (not sd stuff, high res marquees, barco's, the highest end) oh that was good money let me tell you. Damn progress... :)

I never could get into the highest end audio stuff though for myself anyway, resale is different, and I'm one of those expensive cable bashers still. Wire... High end digital cables? Oooh wait super golden oxygen free optical cables. Lubricated for your pleasure with resevoir tips.

I've been a number of things.
Started in retail when I was in high school. Started a pressure washing and painting business after high school, paid great hourly ($80-100+ after expenses) then word got out and everyone was doing it, that got me through college. Waited tables during the off season started at the bottom and quit after a couples years of fine dining. Taught a college course. Became an EMT. Looked for decent job with a biology degree, gave up and kept waiting tables and running small business. Went back to Nursing school, just started work as RN in critical care. Planning to return to CRNA school in a couple years, they drug test often and randomly, hoping to move to a med state when I get licensed as CRNA, figure I could sue if they fired me for taking a prescribed med on my own time:) Aspiring horticulturalist. I know I forgot some stuff. I'm in my mid 20's and plan to add a few more things to the list before I'm done, maybe congressman with Ron Paul as my role model, no really why not.
