Those moments when you don't have your phone or a camera in your hands.
Long story short, we have a big corner sofa, I can lie flat out on either side, she has her own "bed" for lounging on that's right for her, so one day I put down a soft kid's blanket for oldest cat in the hope she would stop lying on me for a while. And it worked, she was happy because she was close to me and I got some rest. Younger male, however, decides that this is not fair, annoys older cat, so a second, similar, blanket was equally folded so they both had one. Situation resolved, oldest cat lies near me, he lies near her, they're like that.
So one day someone brings up a hairball on "his" blanket, so into the wash it goes and is replaced by a sort of "light lilac, heading towards pink" one. Female cat immediately declares "pink" is hers, male claims "blue". Cliche at it's best.
Neither will tolerate "intrusion" onto each other's blanket/territory, so end up being very close together, defending every inch of "their space", they make Sheldon Cooper look positively guest-friendly regarding "my space".
I just walked into the room and saw he had ruffled up "his" blanket on top of her, and was therefore resting his head on her belly/chest, using her as a pillow. She, in the mean time, was stubbornly refusing to move and "lose territory".
I swear it's like dealing with kids who don't get older than three, just with fur coats and razor blades.
