Just finished well almost. Adding bigger inflow and exhaust fans. Also adding mylar. No other way to add the cfls. Had to use a socket adapter for each CFL that's why it looks like a lot of cords. No biggie though. Also my plant are 3 weeks old. They are starting to smell. Is it normal to start smelling this early? Here are my pics.20130920_122949.jpg20130920_122917.jpg20130920_122926.jpg20130920_122936.jpg20130920_122943.jpg20130920_122954.jpg20130920_123036.jpg

The CFL's are 42W/ 150W equivalent. Plus in the middle of the CFL's there is a T5. I lifted the lights to take the pics. It's normally ony a few inches away from the plants. Yeah I mounted the lights like that so it would be easy to adjust them up or down. I just need to move the chains up or down. So you guys suggest just painting it flat white instead of getting mylar?

Yeah, flat white paint unless you can't wait for it to dry, in which case Mylar might be better...no fumes.

Nice box. It needs some finishing as you said, but lookin good so far!

I have a stand for my T5 that I can put the girls (hopefully) under while the paint drys. Plus the cheapest mylar at home depot is like $60. Gonna paint it and add the bigger fans this weekend as well as a wireless temperature gauge. As I have yet to check the actual temperature under the lights. Feels mid to high 70's though when I put my hand just under the lights. Just released when I move the lights up I'm going to have to relocate all of the wires. So I think I'm going to make a box to house all the wires so the only wires that will be hanging down are going directly to the lights and the fan. Kind of like a PSU on a pc. The power strips will be housed in the box inside the Grow box. Did I just confuse anybody there? Bc I think I confused myself. LOL

EDIT: I'm also going to add a SCROG this weekend as well.

home depot has reflectix for 21 a roll or they have smaller for like 11 or in my other grow i have emergency blankets from walmart 3 a piece and they work great but i like reflectix better

oh yeah i stock up on them they are big and they actually do work very well, if your on a budget id go that way if you have 20-25 to throw around then id go with reflectix

i was just thinking if you bought the emergency blankets you could cut a piece to fit your light fixture cut out holes where your lights are and adhere it to the board, would be a GREAT reflector

Just checked my local walmart and the blankets are a no go. I guess the reflectix it is. Should I et enough for the whole box? Or just enough for the reflector then paint the rest?

its small the 21 dollar roll its a fat one and long, i covered 4 feet side x2x2 feet on 3 sides, with a little left over. btw i should have mentioned this but those blankets are in the camping section tiny package

I know its already built but if you do it again perhaps a couple of 3 or 4 strip light fixtures to house the bulbs would be a bit tidier wire wise then only one wire to each set and a box to make connection to one wire for whole lid. Just a thought 😊.

If I couldve found a long enough power strip that would span across the length of the light fixture I would have just bought one for the front and one for the back to plug in the socket adapters. I didn't find one long enough though that's why I did it the way I did. That way it would have only been 2 wires going up to the main power source. I might order one. Haven't decided yet. This is my first grow by the way.
