Just fucking mutilated a seedling :'(

My bubba kush seedling wasn't popping out of it's seed and I got antsy and tried helping it out... Wound up ripping like half of both fucking cotyledons off. I hope it comes back. Lesson learned lol. I just thought I should share my noobiness with everyone.

At least you can admit you werr wrong. Often people tend to blame the soil or the nutes, or something else as to why their grow is fucked up. Instead they should sit back and think what the real problem was. Its the grower thats the problem, not the soil or what not. You can grow seeds with just dirt, water, and light. The fact that you see that you made a dumb mistake is a good step in the right direction.....Good luck on your grow man...

Thanks man, I try to keep it real.
 
Next time just use a spray bottle and spray it if the shell is stuck. The moisture will allow the seedling to pop out the shell easier. You can also put it under a dome for a few hrs to raise the humidity which will soften the shell.
 
The best thing you can do is just let the plant do what it is going to do while it is that young. Don't touch it or pick at it or anything. The only time I mess with the seed is once the plant is a few inches tall and has a set or two of fan leaves, usually the shell is hanging off one of the cotyledons.

Unless your a neurosurgeon I don't suggest fukkin with the embryonic plants in any way. I stuff the seeds in good soil, water them in and wait for them to do their thing. They do not need my help germinating and figuring out up and down.
