Just Ordered My Bubble Bags!Advice From Seasoned Hashmakers!

Hey there wasn't sure if this was the right forum for my thread but it does say getting your marijuana ready for smoke

Anyways I just ordered my bags and i'm planning on running through the trim from my Super Lemon Haze, As well as most of the lower third of the plants and smaller buds.
My main question is weather I should run the buds through seperately from the trim?
All my trim will be sugar leaf and such... (No shade leaves) Is it worth seperating?
Also what different methods do you use for pressing it?

Just hoping a few of you will more experience then me can chime in.

hey brother, i figured since you replied to my thread, i would reply to yours.
anyways the first thing i want to say is im not a seasoned hash maker but i have made hash more than enough times to be able to kick you some hopefully useful info.
honestly i dont think its a negative thing to have the buds mixed with the trim..i say that from my personal experience i always left the bud in the trim. the thing you should really keep your eye out for are stems that could possibly puncture a hole through the screen when your mixing everything. and as far as pressing goes my brother has rectangular screen that is meant for pressing hash that i use, i dont know if you have heard of it, but all you do is blob the hash on to one side of the screen and then fold the other half on top of it and give it a good push so all the water will seep through the screen and bam you have some hash (i recommend placing a thick layer paper towels on the bottom and top of the screen when your pressing it in order to soak up the water.) and then of course you have to let it dry for a couple days. the way i dry the hash is very simple...i just place it on a paper towel on my counter, and thats it haha and when its dry i get high

I am not the most seasoned hash maker, but I do not press mine. I crumble it up to dry, or chop it up to dry, moving it every so often to help the drying process. Then I smoke it.

Thanks alot, dont have much to learn with for them, maybe a few ounces max, and i've only used them once before.
Just need all the tips i can get!

Hey just remembered a couple questions i was too stoned to ask before.
Will it effect the yield/quality if i do only half the maximum amount the bags hold?
And aswell, When the crystal collection bags are draining can i stir them around a bit to speed things up?

I imagine having less in the bags would allow you to sift the trim/buds more thoroughly

Also I think separating the trim and the buds would be a good idea, the buds will have a higher THC content than the trim so by separating you can get high quality hash (from buds) and good hash (from trim).

dry the trim proper, freeze in a bag for 5 days, turning every day. Dont waste your time with 7 bag kits, at most 4. You will get more yield that way. Freezing for 5 days make s the trichomes really brittle. I use a shit load of ice, my bag s recommended for 2 ounce trim, i weight out two ounces and do about 4 runs with it. And i use a electric hand mixer to bash the trim/ice popcorn bud about.
15mins of bashing ice(pref two man job, one holding the bags and the other bashing. let it sit for 20mins, and bash again or 15mins. sit for half hour and then pull each bag out one at a time.
If you move the bags about it will shift the ice trim and crystals so it will seep through quicker.altho if ya finding the water isnt going down to fast, it means theres a good deal of hash sitting there waiting for ya
I only use 3 bags.
scoop out hash from bubble bag onto kitchen tow(clean)push hard to soak up moisture, and then lay hash out onto clean tray. turning slabs of hash daily- dry within 7 to 9 days if temps low ish. once its dry, break into little bits and start making a ball using palm of ya hand. ball gets bigger, slice that in half with a knife and you will wet ya pants. looks amazing. Just like summit ouf of dam coffe shop.
Never failed me anytime with this way.
9 oz of frosty frosty trim got me 14gs of solid. was super frosty trim tho. good luck

oh i use a 40 litre bucket type thing to hold the water in, put some ice in that, wait about 20mins and then i lower the bags into the Iced water, add the trim then the ice. , just becare ful if use electric mixer near water , you ll find the mixture starts to froth and can creep up the mixer without you realising, so just keep an eye out. I normally start on low speed just to get use to it etc and then turn up a wee bit. and then full speed. but as i say be careful with the froth. ..

I process the trim and the popcorn together. Chop the grow, freeze the skuff, and pop it into bags. I use a paint stirrer attachment on a 6A hammer drill and tons of ice. The hash is dried in a food dehydrator; if you get one, make sure its temp is adjustable - ~$50 on Amazon. After a few hours of drying, I break-up the main chunk into smaller chunks and continue the drying process. No pressing; though, I do press dry sift (out of a tumbler) on occasion. Good luck.
