Just starting out

Alright, so I know my title is a bit non-descript, but here's my situation.

  • Bought an ounce of mids to make brownies with.
  • Took all the seeds, bagged them up, sprouted them with the moist paper towel method.
  • Put 12 seeds in 12 4 inch jiffy pots under my stairs, in an organic soil.
  • Using a 100 Watt household bulb (incandescent?)
Basically, i'm not trying to fully grow the plants here, as that would be unbelievably stupid. I just want to get the plants to appear, get decently healthy inside, and then plant them outside. Is my setup ok for what I'm trying to do?

You are going to need better lighting and foil is a big no no around here.
Be sure that the light are very close to the plants, couple inches will do.

Get rid of the tin foil dude, you will burn.
I just stick to the old skool way and paint the inside of my grow room white. If you havnt got enough lighting, then just use the window sil. Its that time of year where the big light in the sky is the best light of all ! Good luck mate

if your planning on putting those plants outside id do it ASAP. that light is near useless. if your going to keep them indoors for any real time, at least go to wallmart and get you 1 or 2 CFL's. maybe 1 socket with a Y splitter and a 42 watt, and one 26watt daylight bulb. they would be tons better. look into the cfl forum on indoor growing if your lookin to start cheap. you will also need a water ph kit, your water should be about 6.25-6.5 with soil grows.
