hi canna tricks, i love the pic, am currently day 38 of flower with femmed blueberry from Masters at work seed company, germinated 10 seeds, 8 cracked and planted into small cubes then into canna pro soil, i may have vegged too long as when i put them into flower they just went vertical, and must have been 5 foot tall, and still reaching for the sky, anyway 8 days into flower a more experienced friend came round to take a look, and advised me to top them, i was very wary to say the least, but succumbed and let him take about a foot off the tops, not a good idea i know, but here we are now and the side branches are filling up nicely and some excellent colas popping up all over the place. Have 2 600 hps in a 2.2x1.2x2.0 tent a 6 inch acoustic fan extract, and a 6 inch rvk inline for my inlet on a quality fan controller and quality carbon filter, feed is canna a and b. at full strength 40m of each per 10 litres of water and also canna boost, ph,d to around 5.8-6 soil temp 22 and cannaopy temp 28. All looks well. However they have none of the colour that yours are showing, any ideas as to why, or do you think the colour will come in time, am i being impatient? this is my first time growing from seed, all other grows, about 3 years worth have been done with clones. Have never attained big yields, the most 2 and a quarter ounces per plant with some chronic i did, i always seem to grow a high quality smoke but alas cant seem to attain better yields, but thats by the by. sorry for rambling. Woody.

Temps are the answer, at 28*C (or 82.4*F for us stupid americans) is too high for colors to properly change. There is not a ton known scientifically, that I could find, on to exactly why this happens, but it is similar to fall colors on trees. My temps run at around 23-24*C at lights on, and drop to 15*C at night sometimes. As for yields, you want to help me get 2-1/4 per plant? lol. I don't get super yields, but I am packing 16 plants under one 1000w MH, man I get crystals, but I know I'm missing out on those HPS yields.

Just get the temps down, if you have a basement, take them down at night and let them get cool. You seen the change with temps as high as 18 or so, but it's the temperature shift, that causes the color change.

thanks for that canna, i will have a mess with my fan and crank it up a little to drop the temp during the light on period. i also turn it down for the 12 off so as not 2 have 2 much of a temp drop, perhaps ile be a little more harsh with them, have read they hard to grow, but so far things seem ok, so perhaps i should just keep schtum!!!!! cheers. woody.
